Navy SEALs, Delta Force, and SOCOM general - The most "Special" groups in the U.S. Military

CIA security team, private contractor
One thing I'd like to mention, because I saw it a long time ago. Don Shipley Sr. once he retired went to work with Blackwater as a contractor in the Middle East. He personally knew the one of SEAL that got burnt and hung at the bridge in Fallujah. He said that many people had the misconception that contractor work makes you rich because they look at the paycheck number. But he explained, "meh, it doesn't pay that well". A lot of things that were a given when you work for the government, are now on you.

The two biggest ones are life insurance and medical insurance, because you ain't getting a plane trip and treatment in Walter Reed as a mercenary. Once you subtract those costs and a few more, he said, you are left with about, or a bit more money per month that'd you'd be making as a team guy doing that job. He said it's just a way to keep earning and not depend on your pension if you still want to use your skill set.

Andy Stumpf podcast with a psychologist. Interesting to see Andy get pressed on his issues and get defensive.

Listening at 2x speed. Antler BRCC gay promo. Shame.

Lmao, Andy calls himself an idiot at 9 minutes. At least he's self-aware that he doesn't know it all. I unironically thought Andy was bald. The interview intro was good, but then the bitching started about being the woke world invading the VA, which is fair enough. But had to skip like 40 minutes. Oof, yeah, he's very defensive. Headaches and his body feeling like shit all the time. He also got shot at the hip but yeah, but says he deals with everything just fine. "Life is hard, I just deal with it." He also forgot the year he got married a second time. Oh, Andy.

By the way, just a personal comment, making an interview like Chris Frueh about someone's mental health on a podcast is very unprofessional. Those are things that have to be private. You'll of course answer differently if you know thousands will hear what you say, vs if it's just you and your doc in an honest, intimate setting.

Don't like this doc very much. But he's right about the woke shit and the VA scam. But yeah, bringing a list to talk about Andy's issues on public was a recipe for Andy deflecting everything and going back to his "Leadership 101" quotes that I can't fucking stand.

All in all, okay interview. Didn't feel I learned that much about more operator syndrome, though, and I still can barely stand Stumpf. But I did get this little gem.

"Most Green Berets experienced erectile dysfunction" -Andy Stumpf

Most higher tier units get special duty assignment pay which can range from 300 - 1200 depending on role and unit. Then there is language pay ($200 -$1000) depending on service rules and role, jump pay, dive pay both of which require you to be on status. Additionally there are other ways to make extra money like going TDY etc. So they can do ok making 100 - 200 a year all said and done depending on rank.

If I'm not mistaken Dale Comstock still needs a mention. Kicked out of Delta in the 90s, brief appearance in Code Over Country. Most narcissistic man ever to exist. Wrote a book about himself called American Badass. PMC. Failed mercenary. So much of a clown even the Army fanboys on r/jsocarchive mock him.

His nickname has to have been Cumsock.

Tim Kennedy was legitimately a great athlete and incredible MMA fighter but Army veterans hate him and say he is a fraud/bad soldier. He's admitted to fragging women and kids by mistake too (assuming his stories are even true)

Former Marine to Delta. Nice SS symbol in the middle of the paddle. Can't remember his IG username for the life of me.

It will be interesting to see his interview. Hopefully, Shawn Ryan will not just sit and listen but actually double-checked his stories :optimistic: Shawn will listen to anything you have to say as long as you say you found Christ imo
I generally wouldn't be able to put the SS dude in the OP, but thank God he took the pic with the Delta triangle on the camera. Putting him in the "Stay classy Delta"

IS DELTA FORCE MORE ELITE THAN SEAL TEAM 6? YOU DECIDE!

Andy nearly got killed several times in military tandem course being paired up with Army jumpers who would lie about how many jumps they had to get into the course. He would have to reach around and pull as the tandem passenger

Holy shit, Spearing! Finnish Air Force, isn't the backflip during a tandem reckless? Even I could see that they almost lost control and nearly started a spin. That's terrifying.

The backflip is pointless in a military context, but if you have decent body position it can be fine. Still not advisable on a tandem even for fun. He just doesn't know what the fuck he's doing.

If you're the only one jumping , send it. Andy BASE jump

Sorry, I was being an idiot and didn't look for the name. Added to OP. It's so weird. He was a Marine Raider; don't they teach them that everyone is green, just a different shade or something. And a good part of the Marine Corps is Black/Hispanic. I'm just wondering why would someone add SS letters to their retirement paddle. Couldn't they mean something else? It's just so weird to make it this obvious. At least with hatchets, you can give the "tool to open doors" excuse.

Edit: More photos of him for posterity. The dude giving him the paddle is @ chappo8654. He's not on instagram, but chappo is a hispanic name right?

Eddie Gallagher is training the Florida State Guard Special Operations Company, among others.

To single out Gallagher was a new low and extremely unfair, [Stronghold SOF partner Tom] Morton said.

“If they really knew his story, he’s a guy who served his country for 20 years. He’s a true warfighter. He’s been in the worst situations. He pushed through Mosul, which was extreme. He took care of his guys. In my opinion, he is a great example of what a patriot should be. They really used all that against him. Most of the media’s negative coverage that’s been pointed at us was through our relationship with Eddie,” Morton said.

To be clear, Gallagher ran afoul of the normal tension and distrust that exists between the conventional Navy and the extremely unconventional SEAL Teams. It’s something any special operator can face, regardless of their branch of service.

I've stated my case on Gallagher being innocent of murder, but he's still a retard with how he conducts himself on social media. Poor choice of association for Florida.
They obviously chose him because of the "He and Trump (the patriots) against the Government (corrupt swamp) and the patriots won" narrative. I guess if Florida wants to have its private army SOF so that they can kick out the feds like the Texas National Guard did, that's certainly a decision. I don't know what Floridians think of it, and I'm sure the Feds are keeping a close eye on it.

There have been quite a few Hispanic Delta Ooperators over the years. The Marine Corps is getting close to majority Hispanic now as well. Googling the username there are some broken GBRS/TribeSk8z links. IIRC DJ made some skateboards with the Delta logo. All of GBRS social media appears to be down.
