I wish I had insight to help, I don’t know enough to help with a lot of the cancer/ procedure information, out of my scope of training. I’m glad she did well with the surgery.....I’m guessing the recovery will be a bitch.Hard to be sure because Amber isn't coherent or clear at the best of times but I'm interpreting that as meaning it had penetrated fairly deeply into the uterine muscle - stage 1B. But that's just a theory.
Honest, I thought they were gonna have a hard time getting her awake enough to remove the breathing tube, looks like they did not. Those docs, nurses, etc must be pretty damn good, kudos to them
Central line, perhaps? Just a thought. I’m not a nurse. They generally place a central line when they have to push certain meds, and I’d bet she’s a hard stick to get a larger bore IV in....they probably had to place an Aline (arterial line) to monitor her as well....her being high risk, but.....I’m not too sure about that, nurses and docs would know better.yes, when they can’t get a good enough line in fat people on the arm they will use the neck![]()
If anything invasive isn’t needed, it will be removed ASAP to reduce risk of infection, even foleys, (tube to collect urine)and that sucks for the nurse or CNA who has to help someone like her urinate. Ugh. Poor nurses.
