Gladiators is back? That was one of my favourite shows as a little kid. Man did I have crushes on Lightning and Jet!
Watched that roster video you posted. Looks like a pretty good line-up. Also, Diamond and Sabre! God's blood - they're hot! Got to give this return a try!

It's pretty much what you'd expect so far. They're trying to do a "can't believe it's not Wolf," got a reasonably mouthy ref and presenters and a cast full of Gladiators willing to give silly poses. Full blown family friendly hilarity.
Honestly I was surprised given the BBC have it this time round. I kept on expecting them to do things like match the black participants against only black Gladiators to avoid people writing in about how triggering it was to see a white person hit a black person in the head with a giant inflatable club but it seems like the DEI mob were told it'd be a multi ethnicity cast and to piss off.

Has anyone watch fire country? It looks interesting as it has convicts working with firefighters, with the protagonist being stationed in a town he has a lot of bad history with. The trailer indicated there may be a lot of eye candy also.

Well to be fair a friend wanted to watch it and my only previous exposure to Korean cinema had been oldboy and sympathy for mr vengeance. Past lives was like an empty plastic bag being blown around a car park, the characters just lacked the will to do anything so nothing happened.

Much like Ron Perlman's social media sperging has completely ruined anything with him I used to enjoy (*), I can no longer stand almost anything with Robert DeNiro - even Joe Pesci cursing him out in CASINO isn't enough to keep it tolerable. Nor GOODFELLAS - even though he's not the star, his presence completely ruins the rest for me. There remains a single exception: Jerry Bruckheimer's RONIN from 1998. I consider it the last great action movie, near-perfect apart from the one retarded line about spraying bullets with Teflon. A story and direction that reward patience and careful attention instead of spelling everything out in crayon. A soundtrack that does the job in stellar fashion without getting in the way. One of the rare movies where
. Not just one, but two amazing car chase sequences - the only way they could top the first was with the second. All in glorious zero-CGI. And a much better job than PULP FICTION as far as having a central MacGuffin whose actual identity is completely irrelevant to the plot and the viewer's enjoyment (unless they're the sort who gets angry at THE THING for its ambiguous ending and demands a definitive answer). Bruckheimer once commented, "Violence doesn't happen in slow motion." I concur, and give RONIN a solid and enduring 8.5/10.

Keeping the Korea theme, just watched this new series A Bloody Lucky Day. Pretty kino mystery/thriller, decent english dub too. Not heavy on the tropes, or maybe they’re Korean tropes I’m unfamiliar with. It’s like Collateral meets The Hitcher.

I once went to a Trump rally before he was President. Even though he is a Jewish puppet, It was amazing to see something like that being an amateur historian of the Third Reich. You could feel the fire in the air.
Just a taste of what it must have been like at a Nuremberg Rally. If I could go anywhere in time for a day, it would be to a Reichsparteitag. To see Hitler speak, the brownshirts and black tunics in formation, the red flags all flying high with Horst Wessel Lied playing everywhere. What a time to be alive. Living, laughing, loving. Just living life in the moment.
"Stalingrad: Dogs, do you want to live forever" is a good film. The problem you're going to run into with every post war film about Germany, even sympathetic to individual Germans "caught up" in the war, is it is extremely anti war and anti National Socialist. It typically portrays the German soldier as a victim of National Socialist. Let me quote Hannah "BBC" Reitch "Many Germans feel guilty about the war. But they don't explain the real guilt we share – that we lost." If you take the time to read memoirs, war diaries, etc you will often hear the same phrases; that they were fighting to protect Europe against Bolshevism ie the Soviet Union. Yes, you may have had some "caught up" in the war, drafted, etc. But the overwhelming majority of German soldiers at that time believed in what they were fighting for. That is my take from studying 20+ years and reading direct sources. Find me a movie where the platoon fights to the death on the Eastern Front in the encirclement at Demjansk. Make a film about Fritz Christen. Show me the exploits of Michael Wittmann. Now that would be a film worth seeing!
I'd recommend wartime German made films like Kolberg, Stukas, Der Grosse Koening, etc. and you will get more of a sense of what the German population was thinking at that time. Call it propaganda, but we all know propaganda works and is generally a reflection of the majority of people in its era.

About the only thing that didn't happen was him pissing on his hands and bragging about it to the world. A quick search will reveal plenty of examples if you're curious. My favorite was the video where he's holding up newspapers in front of his face while he berates an assistant, because that totally prevents the spread of respiratory viruses.

If you like zombie movies but are completely burnt out by the western garbage, I would highly recommend "Rampant".
A surprising good movie about Germany in WW2 that is not a paid propaganda session created by (((the media))) is "The Captain" (Der Hauptmann). It is a true story and it shows how the Reich was fraying at the seams by 1945.

Andrew has a proposal for Milo. Great acting from Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine portraying one of my favourite themes, a duel of egos between two men.Don't read into it, don't watch a trailer and most importantly DON'T WATCH THE 2007 version

Both of those look ace. Movies that portray WW2 Wermacht soldiers as dimensional human beings are rare. Last one I saw that did was the Danish movie Land Of Mine.
