Have you tried looking for other methods for painting the bodies, like spray painting them? Unless that's what you mean then I got nothing.

I don't have a good, humidity-neutral space to do a lot of spraying, and I get too paranoid about the paint peeling/chipping. .. and then if one thing goes wrong, I get too autistic and stop working on it entirely.

Monster High wasn't a thing yet when I was a kid, but I bought the OG Kitty Noir at some point of college because she was so cool.

Apparently her pre-concert tradition of 13 nuggets and a strawscary milkshake has upgraded to 13 orders of nuggets because my girl got FAAAAT

You should see her Fang Vote doll... Mattel Fan Club people voted on every part of her: clothes, makeup, hair, headpiece, shoes...

but not her body.
people were mad they went with G3, and I don't blame them. As far as I've seen, every fang vote has been a G1 ghoul. Even Abby, whose vote is still going on, is using her G1 moulds.

Jinafire is a grail for me, because she's just absolutely beautiful.

Rochelle is also a major want, but she's not going to be as impossible to get her, since people didn't like her as much.

But I like the architectural motifs and vibes, and I've always loved Rochelle's color palette.

Yeah, I know... I have every g1 jinafire, and I love her and her beautiful golden skin........
and I could like g3 if the jade skin didn't feel so forced, and her tail didn't look vistigial. Seriously, the tail is still gold with green hair, but they couldn't give her her vibrant green hair because it would clash with the pastel green skin. There's still some pastel green hair in the back, but it doesn't match the tail.

Her new Gore-geous Oasis doll looks much better.

It does look better but... that just ain't Jinafire to me. She doesn't have the same raw confidence or aura, she looks like she's ashamed of her ancestry and tries to hide it.

Autism aside I used to collect MH when they were super cheap back in the day and sold my entire collection right before 2020 so I took a huge loss. Still dumbfounded til this day lol.

I know it's an old talking point, but I hate how by making Frankie into a genderspecial, it ruined any and all discussion about her because people HAVE to reiterate that she's ~nonbinary~ and ~uses they/them~.
