I heartily second the recommendations for Clarks and Earth Origins heels.

One thing that is nice about the basic Clarks black pumps with the chunky heel is they come in two heel heights but otherwise are identical, so you can see which works better for your needs. The foot pad is padded a bit and there is a very minor amount of arch support, which is nice. I have the taller ones for formal occasions, and they are nice for looking vaguely intimidating. Walking ability is ok but not great; do not recommend for commuting without a change in shoes, but they're good to wear all day at the office or whatever.

Earth Origins heels are THE BEST. Delightfully lightweight, sturdy heel, good construction, and excellent padding with mild arch support. I have sprinted a short distance in them before with no fear for my ankles. In retrospect, I wish I had bought a second pair of the ones I have in black so I could wear them for all heel-appropriate occasions (although I love the burgandy color I have).

If anyone is looking for high quality pairs of everyday sandals, Naturalizers makes great shoes. They are a bit pricey, but they have sales that can make them cheaper. The soles are very comfortable and offer lots of support. The shoes come in various widths as well, so anyone with wide or narrow feet can find something that fits. Nordstrom Rack has this brand as well.

weirdly, you can find MAD deals on women's shoes at Boscovs online. I got like, 10 pairs over the summer and likely paid under 150 bucks. Leather earth origins,, jbu etc.

If people like heels that are sort of different but super comfortable, Chie Mihara does amazingly comfy heels.
They are pricey, but Yoox usually has some nice styles cheaper than elsewhere.

Not heels per se, but I kind of want these atm. They're ridiculous.

I got an Ulta gift card for my birthday and I snagged one of the Clinique moisturizers and a bliss body wash (smells like lemons and it's very moisturizing).

Their shipping has been on point lately, Lasership is wonderful and I got my package today after ordering it Wednesday night.

I look into trying Curlsmith products in the future. I want to dabble in finding good curly hair products.

Makeup hoe here, reporting for duty. Anyone excited about Colourpop's new sheer foundation? I didn't really like their first one, but I do love me some sheer natural foundations. Right now the NYX tinted skin veil is my go to.

It's getting some good buzz online. I need me some coverage, though.

I'll have to take a shot at Colourpop's new tinted moisturizer once I am done with my BB cream.

Has anyone ever tried a beauty roller or a electronic face massager? I am thinking about buying either from Amazon (I have a gift card, probably going to get a hyaluronic serum too).

The little needle roller or the jade kind? I use the little needle one with hyaluronic acid serum every night. I have a frown line between my eyes that I swear it helps temporarily look less creased, and I haven't noticed any new wrinkles, despite more and more white hairs.

I saw that old actress on YouTube use it and she has awrsome skin for however old she is.

I mean the jade/rose quartz kind, but I could look into the needle one.

I have a quartz roller. I decided to stop using it to apply product, because I didn't think it was doing anything special vs using my fingers, so why should I have to wash the thing off every night haha. Now, I just keep it in the fridge and use it when I feel puffy.

I looove tinted moisturizers and stopped using foundation years ago, so I'll def try the Colourpop. I really want to try the tinted serum from The Ordinary, but they're always our of my shade.

Speaking of TO, is anyone else into it? I swear, it has revolutionized my skin in dramatic fashion. Their HA is unbeatable, the retinoids are magic, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution SLAPS.

YES. I love their rose hip seed oil, 2% Retinoid Emulsion, and the hyaluronic acid. Didn't like their foundation, but you can't have everything.

I loooove TO and have recently really gotten into NIOD their slightly pricier slightly more sophisticated sister brand. The NIOD HA performs even better than TO HA, IMO. I'm also a big fan of their copper serum. I don't think I'll ever stray from my TO L-Ascorbic powder and oils though!

I ran out of my usual moisturizer (Lush's Celestial--was way too heavy for my skin and left it too oily), so I decided to go to Sephora to get a rec for a new one, and Youth to the People's Superfood HA moisturizer, and I gotta say, I'm a big fan. Lightweight, but still moisturizing, and it absorbs super quickly. Not too heavy, and it's not oily to the point of leaving my skin so oily that America wants to invade. 10/10 would recommend. It's a bit spendy but worth it imo.

So I was at a special occasion event this weekend, and I needed something just a little bit more heavy duty than BB Cream or tinted moisturizer. I tried out Revlon's PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation (phew, that's a mouthful!). This stuff ROCKS. Wore it for over 12 hours (and some of those hours were outside in 90-degree heat), and it lasted all day and looked amazing all day. My makeup still looked mostly flawless by the time I was ready to wash it off. The only downside is that the foundation comes in this little dinky tube and doesn't have much product in it. Not a huge deal for me since I don't wear foundation that often, but that might be a turnoff for people who do wear it often.

I also found that this foundation gives you that "blurring effect," which makes the texture of your skin look much more even, and makes your pores disappear. This stuff is pretty fantastic, and I liked it more than a bunch of "high end" foundations I've used over the years, to be honest.

That's great to know. I pass the display in the store all the time and wondered if it was any good.
