what the fuck

I thought mlp finally died out a couple years back

I mean the colors are really nice but aren't they a little late to the party

either way there's no way I'm touching that shit because I'd never be able to live with myself knowing I own something mlp related

but the colors are cute???

I'm so conflicted rn

You know that movie that's been gestating for about five years? It's finally coming out in October. China Glaze isn't late to the party, MLP is.

ooh I don't have the time right now to read through everything so do forgive me if this has already been discussed!

I recently started getting into lolita fashion, and while I live in a town that's a bit too small for me to comfortably change my style so drastically and quickly, I've been looking around for items to wear once in a while when I just want something cute. Struggling to find exactly where to buy stuff for a reasonable price, though (of course I don't expect it to be dirt cheap, it is an expensive style but just so I won't have to eat cup noodles for a month). Does anyone have any stores they swear by that carry lolita fashion?

We actually have a lolita thread here on the farms (https://kiwifarms.net/threads/lolita-fashion.30013/). But your best bet for "reasonably priced" will be either second had through Wunderwelt or ClosetChild (Japan based) or Lace Market (ebay for lolitas) or you can look for good indie brands, Taobao or otherwise. Any big brands are going to cost around $300+ new for a main piece but second hand can be a god send. I just got a relatively new BtSSB release (Florence's Medical Chest) for around a third of the new price by getting it second hand through Lace Market

Yeah the colors are nice, but I thought Bronies weren't as much of a thing anymore

I like the Let Your Twilight Sparkle tho, if I see it in stores I'm gonna get it

Hi everybody! I know I'm not the only dangerhair here, and I'm in a bit of a pickle. I bleached + dyed my hair magenta (using Punky Colour) a few months back and I was just gonna let it wash out on its own but it doesn't seem to be doing it as quickly as I had wanted. Are there any home remedies to getting it out I haven't heard of*, or should I go with the professional approach? Or should I just wait longer? Or just bleach it again?

It's about half washed out, half pink still. I need it 100% out because I'm going to do it yellow by the end of the summer. Thanks in advance laydees

*I tried mixing vitamin C powder with my shampoo and leaving it for a few hours because I saw it on YouTube. It didn't work as well as I would have liked, but a lot of color came out, but I used Emergen-C (I don't know if that was what I was supposed to use) and only did it once.

I've noticed that PunkyColours last F O R E V E R.
next time you dye your hair use manic panic or something that is actually demi permanent, because punky colours isn't. D;

There's stuff in the store that takes the color out (not bleach) but it smells hella bad and is just as bad for your hair as using bleach. http://www.ulta.com/hair-color-remover?productId=xlsImpprod620020

if you use a lot of shampoo, you can just keep fading the dye but idk if you'll get it all out. :(

How often do they do stuff like that? The website just says "invitations to special events' without any kind of calendar.

They do a thing where they have little parties in-store for the new collections, where only Rouges are invited, so you get a chance to buy new stuff before everyone else. That's the "special events" they're referring to, and those happen at least twice a year, for the spring and then holiday collections. Whenever they do sales, like their F&F sale, the sale starts sooner for Rouges and you usually get a higher percentage off. When they send out gift cards before Christmas, the ones that Rouges get has a higher value than the one VIBs get. You also get free makeovers all year, if you're into that. People who aren't Rouges have to spend at least 50 dollars on product to get their makeup done.

I needed new mascara and I'm loving the Miss Manga mascara by L'Oreal. It's not 100% waterproof (got teary eyed watching anime like a fag) but it doesn't seem to budge otherwise. Also, word of warning, the Naked Ultimate Basics by UD isn't great. Poor texture and a lot of kick up on some colours.
If there's kiko in your country, you should try their volume attraction mascara. I like it even better, you can layer it on without it becoming all spidery.
It really holds the curl well. In alternative, try heating up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer (but obviously wait till it's not too hot, otherwise it'll burn)-

Since I have no real other place to turn to, I'm gonna ask if anyone here has any experience with Splat hair dye?
https://sneed-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/ef/c2/a2/efc2a29b68b53344bdbebc308924c3e2--emerald-color-emerald-hair.jpg
If you ignore the horribly late-00's designed box, I like the idea that I wouldn't have to bleach my hair to kingdom come to get some color in it (I have dark brown hair). My plan was to bleach some of the ends (what I really want is for the ends to be the lightest, and then not-so-light gradient up, so if anyone can help me with that you are the best), and have the rest of my hair natural. The only problem is I've never used the brand, nor has anyone I know, and I'm relatively new to dying my own hair.

So if anyone can tell me what this brand is like (the reason I picked it is because I go back to college soon and this is one of the few brands my hick-ass town carries in it's Walmart), that'd be great. I'm willing to order online for another brand if needed, though, so I appreciate any advice.

Splat is terrible. Don't do it.

Walmart should carry the newish L'Oréal dyes. They're not permanent, so if you mess it up, or you don't like it, you can wash it out. They last longer on bleached hair, though, so if you're planning on bleaching for an ombré effect, it won't wash out super quickly, just fade to a lighter color.

These are photos of my hair with two different L'Oréal colors:

Thank you! Idk if it has L'Oréal colored like that, but I'm willing to see. Worst comes to worst I can order online through Walmart or Amazon or some shit (Also like the pics, your hair turned out nicely)

The L'Oreal colors just came out earlier this year. They have them at Walmart and Walgreens where I live, and they also, in the same line, sell bleaching, ombré, and color removing kits. They're called Colorista.

The sale and gift cards sound legit af. The rest I'm too old to care about, but who knows.

Also I love that you matched your lipstick to your hair. :heart-full:
