Any recommendations for liquid eyeshadow that will dry down and *stay in place* on my hooded asian eyes? I have been seeing people use liquid shadows on makeup subreddits for their ease of blending -- but they're always white girls with a thousand yards of prime eyelid real estate-- and when I try it it just ends up in a goopy line in my crease like an hour after I apply it.
Monlids or natural double?

Surgical double.
Obviously a good primer can help, but if I were to recommend one, I'd say 3CE Eye Switch is fairly good.
I have natural large double lids and big eyes, so I try and stay away from "western" eye shadows or smokey eye looks, coz I look like an insane person, but the above one I find is pretty good.
I have no idea about a more mainstream brand though, but seriously, a good primer that suits your skin type (I feel like asian eyelids are kinda on the greasy, smooth side) would really make anything stick, dry down and not go all flakey and weird.
I've found the 3CE one didn't settle into my crease like a lot of liquid ones tend to do.

These are both pretty decent. I have oily lids and they've worked best for me.

The bodyography stuff powders out really good (but it can be gritty cause of the glitter) and I've kind of aged out of THAT level of sparkle.

The butterlondon stuff tacks down kind of like a liquid to matte lipstick for your eyes, and tends to be more subtle as far as the ~*sparkle*~ goes (Butter London's eye shadows are actually fairly decent in general imo).

Both of these products dry the fuck out REAL fast though so not the best if you're an infrequent make-up wearer. Ends up being a waste of money.

For reference, I have hooded OILY lids and do very minimal eye make up (I get lash lifts to avoid having to even deal with mascara at this point) so my go-to is a single color on the lid and a little zhuzhing my bottom lashes with a little powder. I dont fuck with eye primers because I've not found one that washes off very easily and I don't fuck with make up thats difficult to remove no more. These two have lasted long enough to enjoy a night out without looking like a sloppy monster, but probably not great if you're going all day

i like wearing lipgloss, but in outings as a greeting people often kiss in the cheek and i always internally panic because i dont want to leave a sticky transparent imprint on their faces LOL... is there a gloss that ISNT sticky?? that seems impossible
i dont like lipstick so ive been using colored lipbalm instead because it also shines but isnt sticky.

Lol same here, lots of kissing where I live (sometimes triple kiss on the cheek), I often wear lipstick or lipgloss so I just "air kiss" everyone.

Not a cheap skincare routine, but also not absurd when you compare it to something you might see on r/skincareaddiction. So with all this skin care, why does she look so... Oily and red all the time? My guess is redness is from tretinoin in her prescription formula might be causing the redness (it's an effective anti-aging ingredient, but it can be irritating). I think her oily appearance is on purpose, in an attempt to "glow".
Crossposting because this is off-topic for the Tessy thread, but interesting to me.
Tess is an everyday makeup user, right? How much of this stuff is "essential" if you wear makeup on a regular basis vs. Tess's natural greasy skin in need of something to soak up all that oil?

ALT Fragrances. I got a knockoff of Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, and it smells *exactly* the same. I've bought like 8 perfumes from them and I'm thrilled with all of them.
If you want a referral code for $10 your first purchase, let me know and I can send you one.
I bought a decant of Lost Cherry and looooved it. How long does it last for you? I've tried several "Lost Cherry" dupes and none of them last long at all. The original lasted all day. I'm tired of wasting money, I probably could have bought a legit LC fragrance at this point :c

Eh, Glow Recipe is an overpriced brand. Typically you want less stuff under the make up in daytime, as it makes it more "greasy". But I don't really understand the question, essential for what? Make up can't cover everything, and more make up just looks cakey and awful.

I think people are exaggerating over how greasy her skin is, it really does not look bad. Though, if you want to mattify it all. Cake yourself in talcum powder.
The redness is from her being fat, we have seen this in the Disney critics videos you posted. The fat critics are red as fuck in their faces. It's not the tretinoin, as some in the Tessi thread suggested.

I meant more in terms of "taking off the day" since the original quote is in regards to a Tess "get unready [sic] with me" video.

Just their blood pressure/general bad health, then?

I tried the 'Grass' scented Lush shower gel the other day. Genuinely bizarre. It really does smell like grass, I guess, but I'm still unsure if this is a good thing. I got a small bottle, since I didn't want to spend heaps to smell like a bag of damp compost and so far I think i'm on the fence. I do like green things, but this feel like a step too far. I'm partial to unorthodox scents (My favourite perfumes- All Saints Metal Wave and Lush Lord of Goathorn smell like rusty scrap metal and seaweed respectively) but 'lawn trimmings' is somehow both too bland and too weird to really be my style. I was hoping that it would replicate the smell of grass and soil in the rain (my favourite smell ever), but it really does just smell llike if someone made a grass scented car air freshener.

My favourite Lush shower gel was their 'prince charming', but it's either seasonal or discontinued, because I can never seem to find it.

The skin repairs itself at night, but it do lose more water content then too. So it would make sense to load up on the skincare at evenings.

Yep, a lot of women get moustaches too. As their hormones get all fucked up.

It lasts. So. Freaking. Long. I spray it in my hair (as well as my pulse points, obvs) and it lasts from when I spray it (right after a hair wash day) up until the next hair wash day.

I am wondering if anyone knows anything about relaxing hair for Caucasian's at home. I'm white but my hair is super coarse, dense, wavy and has gone insane lately. I've called around to different salons about a ''Brazilian blow out'' but it's 500 dollars. I am tempted to use this stuff because it's cheap (12 bucks) and because it's for kids it's not as intense (apparently)

But I don't know. I've heard for some white's who try this they lose their hair. Other information I've heard is ''it can be used on coarser textured Caucasian hair as long as it's not bleached and then there shouldn't be hair loss''. Really on the fence about this. Having the chance to have super smooth and straight hair for so cheap is tempting though.

I have similar problems in that my hair can get pretty frizzy, especially with any amount of humidity. I try to stick to things like hair masks and argan oil, and I try to avoid heat on my hair whenever possible. I straighten my hair maybe once every couple months, and when I blow dry I try to use low or no heat.

If you're on the fence you can always do a test strand on your hair. Just so you can see how your hair reacts to it without worrying about massive hair loss or damage.

Black hair isn't the same as Eurasian hair, look at it under a microscope if you don't believe me.
I'd recommend a Japanese straight perm if you can find something near you that will do it.

She's got a cleanser, a chemical exfoliant, a (retinoid?), and a moisturiser there which isn't excessive for a woman in her mid/late 30's. The eye cream is probably unnecessary but they usually are unless you've got specific concerns about the skin around your eyes that don't apply to the rest of your face.

Cleanser - cleans your skin
Chemical exfoliant - breaks down dead skin cells on the surface to expose fresher ones, given enough time that can help with things like scars and sun damage. She's using a beta hydroxy acid, which tends to suit people who are prone to acne because they're oil soluble. Alpha hydroxy acids would be the equivalent for someone with dry skin. There are more specific reasons why someone might pick one or the other but broadly speaking BHAs are for greaseballs.
That custom concoction - Most likely has tretinoin which is a retinoid, can help with wrinkles so it's very commonly used as an anti-aging step.
Moisturiser - moisturises
Eye cream - less moisturiser for more money. If you have puffy eye bags you might want one with caffeine or whatever in it, but this one doesn't have it.

Some of those products are overpriced, you could drop the eye cream and maybe combine a step somewhere but it's not crazy. Koreans with 17 step routines are crazy.
