🌟 Internet Famous Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

The LTT Store Support account has started replying in the thread. They say that while they do monitor the support emails, they aren't officially supported and the correct way is to use the help centre link on the LTT store. It's then pointed out they have broken links and still have the support email on parts of the site. Also, others pointing out tickets should be able to be automatically created via emailing them unless their ticketing system sucks. They're using Zendesk which I'm pretty certain supports this, so I assume it's just a case of LTT being too lazy or incompetent to set this up.

How are these guys so incompetent? By the way they're talking it sounds like they're responding to emails hitting the support mail manually by accessing its mailbox?

That's fucking absurd. Setting up auto-ticketing is trivial for Jira or SNOW or Zendesk or whatever they're using. You're telling me they access OWA and manually look at incoming emails? No wonder they suck so bad.

Absolutely stunning levels of incompetence from whoever acts as their service desk manager. Hopefully this thread serves as a lesson to all the LTT sycophants on why you shouldn't buy from them.

Not to mention that working out of email boxes means there's no fucking visibility into who's picked up what, what's rotting, etc. Its super easy to intentionally or otherwise gloss over a 'difficult' looking email and reply to an 'easier' one then forget the difficult one actually existed.

I wouldn't be surprised if its not even a dedicated support and service desk perception, that's too corporate. Probably has some of the pickers do part shifts on the email, less hands means less collision risk when you have no assignment or queue management.

This is the homepage. It feels like lazy web design but it is probably subject to change. TRUST US BRO

Wow, everything about this is fucking BLEAK. Why was this pushed out so prematurely? It's obviously not even close to being ready. They couldn't even configure the domain to subdomain it under LTTStore.com? They're choosing to go live with "linusmediagroupcreatorwarehouse.zendesk.com" as the domain?

Genuinely speaking, some heads need to roll. Even a lowly jeet could get a better looking support page up. I would be fucking livid if I was in charge of a company and my shitty support staff pushed what looks like a practice demonstration page up as the live support site. What the fuck Linus

Even a lowly jeet could get a better looking support page up
No, they couldn't, trust me from first hand on that. This screams jeet consultant, where they skipped half the guided setup and left most of the defaults in place and plugged in the bare minimum to work and nothing more. In house Jeets slack off and never deliver, consultants underdeliver and overcharge, but they fucking love pushing a "starter contract" for managed services with slop like this, and then its fucked enough that you need it fixed now now now so you end up having to hire them on for a full term.

They're choosing to go live with "linusmediagroupcreatorwarehouse.zendesk.com" as the domain?
I never trust these Contact Us forms and would never enter my personal information into one. But especially when the URL is linusmediagroupcreatorwarehouse.zendesk.com. What the fuck? This looks like a scam.

Also, there are literal LTT scams going on right now in the form of LTT-branded password managers lmao

Apparently Linus is using Ai for his thumbnails and some are not happy.

This one has the Gemini logo still in the thumbnail!:

It really is an absurdly long URL but it was sourced directly from their lttstore website footer. Right below the most soy looking gamer you could imagine, a slightly off looking charcoal sketch and a Blahaj troon shark dripped out in LTT merch.

James followup: we added the PC case to see what it looked like as a mockup and then later photoshopped one in for the final one.

The community looks split. Some are seething, others are fine with it.

The LTT snark subreddit has discovered the merch issue and is following up with similar experiences and complaints at the lack of communication

Schzio theory that the LTT thread about it is AI generated due to the emdashes and bullet points. They may be on to something here...

In the original thread the mods are sweeping hard and leaving a trail of [deleted], so you can see why the LTTMeta subreddit is gaining traction.

Apologies for posting back to back but another lazy sponsored upgrade video dropped. I watched it out of curiosity to see what the employee homes looked like and I was not disappointed.

First - the sponsorblock time skip segments. Purple are tangents and green are sponsored plugs. Quite a bit of wasted time.

The funniest part of the whole video was seeing the battlestation of the BMX guy (Elijah) who has brain damage iirc. It is exactly as you would expect.

>Bluey and pokemon plushes on his couch. He is like 30.
>Massive (mostly empty) enterprise server rack right next to desk
E1.png
>Multiple pink, white and blue keyboards on desk
>Jinx gaming chair, Pink Minecraft axolotl shirt, Pink MC cherry blossom background - this really is the average user Mojang is going after. Sad
E2.png E4.png
He is a Twitch streamer. I do not watch Twitch, but 800 live viewers seems like a decent amount.
E5.png
Look at all those expensive "limited edition" plastic toys and plushies. I am positive he will be able to recoup his costs and maybe even make a profit when he has to resell those on eBay (lol no). Any consoooomer kiwis able to estimate how much a collection like that would cost?
E7.png E8.png
What a Giga consoooomer, I give it 2 years until he troons out.
The guy at the end with the wife and the Leica camera seemed mostly normal. The cutesy stuff was probably his wife's and his desk was relatively free of junk and collectibles, if not a bit cramped.

Also is anyone able to tell what this game controller thing that is hanging from Linus' belt is? Is it an actual product or is it just a decoration.
I assume it is a Bluetooth gamepad for playing phone games, but do people really even play games on their phone? Genuinely curious.

It's an 8bitdo controller, it actually works and i think they still make them.
I think linus uses it to control the teleprompter, though i bet he also wears it as a fashion accessory, but if he found a use for it then i'm not gonna give him shit for that.

edit: i'm retarded and should've refreshed the page before posting

Jonathan Horst (former LTT guy who made mac adress) published a new video in collabration with Maddison. (the crazy chick that was BPD incarnate and worked at LTT)
For the people who don't remember she made some credible and some not so credible allegations of LTT....
1780192483430.png
In the video she's super annoying and manic. I don't really understand Horst's play here. This is a sure fire way to piss of Linus but he's playing with fire interacting with her. You can also tell that he is getting more and more annyoed with her as the video goes on.

Other thing I had written before: Old video, Im gonna alog Jake and his 3d printers:
In this video he shows off his 3d printing setup. He has a Prusa that he has janked toghter from an older model and a resin printer.

In the video he talks about his resin printer and he says and i qoute:
This is if you need stuff that's super accurate. Sometimes for me the car stuff that I print needs to be dimensionally perfect and in that case this is the only real option for me. That's not 10k USD...
Ok. What are you printing on your car that requires tighter then 0.15mm accuracy? Cause otherwise extreme skill issue. I have caded and printed tons of assemblys and friction fitted parts with an FDM printer. It's all about knowing your printer, slicer and what materials you use. You can get accuracy up to 0.15mm with a little bit of tunning with most types of plastics. Either he's designing assemblies that has no tolerances built in to them or his printer are so poorly setup that he believes you need an industrial grade printer to get results that a bambu P1s would get out of the box...

Her first appearance on LTT was when she won a computer in a competition they had. LTT viewers found her 'quirkiness' endearing and they simped hard for her in the comments, leading to her hiring. Horst probably thinks her simp army still exists and can use her for their views.

the simps in the comments are severely mentally ill. the entire fanbase of ltt dingleberries are completely GRIDS infested and need to get off my capital i Internet.

That's because Linus' bloated company has always been a mismanaged mess. He had over 100 employees at peak(and that's before the badminton bullshit which should be its own separate business entity anyway). At the absolute fucking most
Linus Media Group.jpg
almost 120 employees is way too much considering it´s mostly an YouTube channel. I feel like there so many useless roles, like HR I am no business expert but I don´t think you need more than one HR lady ( I think LTT has 2+ ) and checking the LinkedIn employees section I see many overlapping jobs that I feel like can be done by one person. For example there is three ( possibly more ) separate guys for external partnerships and they all are doing something different, instead of baking the cake one guy is cracking the eggs, the other one is pouring the flour and so on and so on. Again one guy can probably do all this.

what.jpg
what even is a "Corporate Controller".

who.jpg
Does LTT really need a special designated photographer ? If I was the CEO I would strongly consider firing a lot of these people, they seem to be just bloat.

The reason why they're so overbloated with employees is because a lot of internet media companies that quickly got big off scrappy low budget content made with effort and heart, fall to this notion that if they improve and professionalize content as much as possible as fast as possible, it'll both become better and they'll grow their audience proportionately. Do you NEED like a director of cinematography with a $50k 8k camera that takes an evening to frame the scene in order to make a video talking about a graphics card you bought off aliexpress, or whatever the fuck? No, but if I spend that much then surely it'll be eleventy bajillion times better than when I had an editor hold the camcorder for an hour. They end up applying that minmaxing belief to every single facet of their content, and it spirals out to a point where you need to start hiring even more people to support all the people you hired. Then the inevitable happens and the content becomes soulless, if not outright incompetent when there's so many fingers in the pie and someone new fucks up each time, and they start having to sell out hard, pump out as much slop as possible, and underpay the actually semi important/useful employees, in order to affordall the salaries and office space rent. Then the sad, gradual decline begins, and usually the response is to try and hire more or different people that are invariably worse at their job to fix it.

Of course it also doesn't help that Linus is a fucking retard whose eyes are bigger than his stomach and does shit like the lab, which goes nowhere.
