@LinusTech I'm going to say this since for some reason all the businessmen YTers seem to not know how to run a public facing media business.https://youtube.com/watch?v=gqVxgcKQO2E
Reasons why Jake quit in his own video.
tl;dw
- Projects had too limited time to complete, never properly finished
- Production hell with too many heads and delegation issues
- Low pay, "working on bosses 3rd house"
I still stand by the belief that LTT house fuckery would work if they were actually doing cool or weird shit. Not just "I put some speakers in the roof" or "Smartlights" I wanted them to take the old workshop and their ex engineer, and build a smart home system that would via robotics and jank ass sliding mechanisms, preheat the oven and put a frozen pizza into it so that it'd be done 15 minutes after you normally get home, fully hands free, just stock the pizza freezer magazine with unwrapped pizzas.Where as LTT puts it in owners house or some idiotic video idea.
Funny you mention that, I was always wondering about this. Linus is always showing his new houses, 200-inch TVs, and soon there will be a big jet, and other crazy stuff he buys for himself. But when it's a video about his workers, they always live like some poor students, despite being 30 or 40+ year-old men. I know that the boss is supposed to be richer, but come on, at least he should give those workers that appear in his videos some dignity. This guy opened his video with a bunch of selfies. It actually changed my mind and I'm glad Linux is a piece of shit who underpays his employees.
lol, yeah there's a reason why shit like a carwash, laundromat, dry cleaner, etc. is a good money laundering front. Little regulation, cheap materials you can just dump the excess of, mostly cash transactions, not having a bunch of external eyes on things, etc. Get some real customers, order 4x the amount of soap or whatever and dump the excess down the drain as needed so if the tax man comes looking at your books you're still ordering the right number of supplies, and aren't doing anything you can't just hide in the back room.Laundering money via aircraft is quite possibly the worst way to do it, with how highly regulated and attended to they are. It's going to have a miserable return rate, and be difficult to wash out to the relevant people.
But you're right that its a retarded idea - I still stand by it based on the name. I really do think he's just making a really stupid fucking decision.
This is why I liked Alex. He had a potential in doing silly Jank shitIs it absolutely dumb and impractical? Hell yea. Is it peak smart home? Also hell yea.
It is the home shopping network for 30-40 year old people who collect toys instead of boomers.LTT is, at this point, a dropshit webstore brand with a techslop youtube channel bolted onto it for marketing.
Sore point wasn’t the impression I got. More like it was something celebrated or joked about. As he mentioned, when he was hired it was a small company and people wore a lot of hats. There must always scope for role change or evolution given that his warehouse organisation interview involved a PC teardown. He also said the job role thing was constantly a sore point to the fact he got an award for it?
It's not even tech YouTubers who are either turning on Linus or didn't like him in the first place.I think part of the reason people are turning on Linus/Linus Media Group generally is that everyone else in the tech YouTube sphere save for the biggest of big guys actively AVOID going corporate because it makes doing shit like this look retarded.
Linus, I will only buy these if they're gold plated.https://youtube.com/watch?v=OT_iyvOy0Tkafter switching presidents and a year late, lmgay has produced these standard spec meeting cables
looking at prices, it seems ok? on the promise that this cable mogs other cables, but i don't know if there are other spec meeting cables to properly compare to, let alone an authority that even cares about spec cable autism

Like everything from the LTT store, it's mostly for people who want to support their favorite multi-millionaire youtuber. But it's curious that they are making more and more of that merchandise, either there are a lot of retarded people in the LTT community who are willing to throw their own money at Linus, or they are planning on branching out to hardware production, hence all that intensive R&D when they are trying to figure out how cables and screwdrivers work.looking at prices, it seems ok? on the promise that this cable mogs other cables, but i don't know if there are other spec meeting cables to properly compare to, let alone an authority that even cares about spec cable autism
