I stopped watching when they started the "she's fucking John Redcorn again!" bit, it was funny in the last season where some random internet twat with an anime avatar said "i bet they're screwing" but repeating that plotline for real is obscene. There's no point to it, we already did "Nancy gets over JR and learns to love Dale for real" and "Nancy is tempted to cheat again but doesn't go through with it"
You see I didn't mind it because Nancy just became an exponentially worse character in the latter seasons of the show same with John Redcore, Luanne, Peggy and even Hank's Mom. Its completely in character for both of them to start fucking once she got bored of Dale because as the show pointed neither of them moved on completely it just leaves a bad taste because the last episode cemented that Nancy would never fall to temptation again and what she had with Dale was always there.
Dude what? They completely flanderized him. Dale in the revival or continuation whatever you want to call it is nonstop talking about conspiracy shit. In the original series he talked about them but it was one part of his personality. There was also his love of Joseph, his love of extermination, his friendship with Hank etc etc. This combined with his fucked up voice really, really hurt the character for me. I'm a huge Dale fan too so it was a big blow.
They were all flanderized by the end of the original show's run. Bill got more and more pathetic. Luanne got dumber and lost all prospects of being more than white trash and wound up getting knocked up by Lucky. Peggy got way way up her own ass as well. The last few seasons were really rough and it was a blessing when it ended the way it did.
I could hear some Cotton slipping through the Dale voice.
At the very least, it doesn't feel as stiff and awkward as last season. That said, the voice still doesn't fit the character at all. Like, you can imagine the OG Khan voice in your head and the lines sound way more natural.
Bill has been shown to be into a wide variety of kinky shit throughout the series he also knew about the foot fetish sites in that one episode and is shown to be into voyuerism in the episode "Shug Night". The hentai comment feels too much like a "wink wink nudge nudge" to board crowd of the audience similar to how adult shows of the last decade made so many references to tentacle porn.
Some of the good shit requires an import... or so I've heard.
