all he does is watch GDC talks and attempt to regurgitate them.
He also dissects game rendering pipelines as a hands-on approach, which in my opinion is the most effective way to actually get acquainted with a complex field. It's also how I started out back when gDEBugger was a thing, and it inspired me to seek out the absolute Gods on Beyond3D.

Recent developments show that Kevin Jimenez is deflecting criticism of DMCA abuse and promoting harassment toward others.

He's really not an expert. With all the available information floating around it's possible to learn by AI explanation etc a lot but what actually makes you an expert is putting it into practice. From my experience with graphics programming you can have heard of all these technologies but until you've actually written code you don't really understand them to the same degree people who've implemented them have.
That's why him not even being able to draw a triangle in openGL is so telling. All he does is collect angry sentiment, cause drama and sometimes read per pixel stuff from a debugger. He's right about some stuff but also wrong about other things. TAA can look good or bad depending on how it's used but I agree sometimes it looks bad, the only times you notice it. But really his opinions about graphics are not separate in any way from someone with very little graphics knowledge.

It usually looks bad specifically when it's used to amortize denoising. One aspect of rendering that has been considered a holy grail is order-independent transparency. There have been many attempts to address this such as depth peeling, but that creates its own complexity that is hard to get right in practice. Dithering can be used to blend multiple order-independent layers together in a single pass. Many old games used Bayer dithering that could be trivially blended with a very simple blur kernel, but Bayer dithering also has major quantization issues. Pseudorandom dithering essentially has infinite precision, but also requires an arbitrary amount of blending, which is why developers opt for temporal accumulation.
The mistake occurs when this is just lazily applied to the whole image at all times. I believe a GDC presentation from the Deus Ex developers talked about an adaptive solution that avoided the common pitfalls of TAA.

So a couple of thoughts:

1. I've been looking at comments on TI's channel, and some of them seem kind of strange. They really like to praise him in a "bro is about to end their careers" kind of way that makes me wonder if he uses bots for engagement. I wouldn't be too surprised if he did considering his flagrant abuse of DMCA. Obviously, I'm not saying with certainty that he is using bots, but a lot of these comments don't feel human to me.

2. I don't exactly remember how formatting on this site works (lost my old account), but I think the OP needs a little bit more work @jammercat. It feels cramped and a little awkward to read with how many videos there are. I'm not exactly sure what the solution would be, but maybe there might be an easier way to format things between his early stuff and the stuff currently happening. You might need to trim the fat a little too by focusing on the most notable things he does. I don't know. It's been a couple of years since I've been here, and maybe OPs changed while I was gone.

He deletes negative comments. A lot of his staunch supporters genuinely do act like bots though, he has a very cult leader like thing going on.

A lot of people think he uses a lot of alts, could be bots. But also some of his supporters are carbon copies of him, you can see it under some of the critical videos. Mainly insults rather than substance, this guy somehow has a super zealous crowd about programming.

i really want to know this little autistic kid's villain origin story, which game truly made him crash out and start obsessing over these topics.
He seems to be obsessed with Need for Speed and Days Gone, dedicating an entire video to fellating the former, even though most of the things shown off were pretty standard 8th gen practices, not to mention that it's compromised on the Xbox One that it was originally intended for before it arrived on PC.
I can only assume that he picked up Unreal Engine as an aspiring future game developer during his coming of age, only to become jaded when he realized that he couldn't replicate his favorite games of his adolescence.

His friendship with Days Gone has ended, now MGSV Phantom Pain is his best friend.

If I have time, sure. I’m also open to direct messages to refine the OP.

What's with this excessive rebranding? Did he try to kickstart his career multiple times before he finally settled on Threat Interactive?
