Watched it last weekend at night and it was fucking hilarious. I laughed virtually the entire time. In an era where "comedies" like Santa Inc. care more about spreading a political message, Jackass just wants to make us fucking laugh. And I appreciate that.

I also like that they still kept the MTV intro from the late 90s and early 2000s with the astronaut in it. Good times, back when MTV was worth watching.
The chick got off easy. If she wanted true equality she should have...

Got a scorpion sting to the vag.

I'm being fucking serious too. If Steve-O got bees to sting his dick and ball sack then the chick should have taken a scorpion sting to the clit.
Yea, Rachel had it easy. But then again, Jasper and the other didn't fare that much better than her (although they did a lot here), and Steve-O did the ultimate shit here.

So my question with this is jackass over now or are they handing the torch to the younger guys? Cause I don't see a lot of the original cast being able to do wild stunts at their age anymore, at very least dangerous ones. I kind of hope they do another movie or show with the young cast and the older ones mentoring or helping in skits for them. I actually liked their dynamic in it.

That's what Jackass 4 was about.

I genuinely enjoyed it for what it was, but I didn't like it as much as the old ones personally. I thought the series and original movie almost more gonzo, whereas the newer stuff feels much more produced.

I saw the second and third movies, but I barely remember them. However, I watched the original series and movie over and over again. I think you can break down most of the segments in those into a few general categories:

1) Gross out stuff- Dave England shitting in a hardware store, making an omelet out of vomit, pig semen

2) Stuff that is painful but not dangerous - Paper cuts, the alligator biting Knoxville's nipple, bees on dick

3) Stuff where they fuck with the public and pranks- Old man stealing, airhorns on the golf course, rental car demolition derby, old man in furniture store

4) Genuinely dangerous fucking shit - Golf carts, boxing with Butterbean in a department store, Knoxville getting hit by a bull

I thought the new movie was a bit heavy of the first two and a bit light on the second two. The lack of really dangerous stuff is understandable because the main cast is all getting older, but that doesn't really explain the lack of hidden camera stuff which was a Jackass staple. I think the real reason there was so much less of three and four is that studios in 2022 aren't prepared to take on the potential legal liability.

*Edit* Since everyone is mentioning their favorite bits:
-Hand Slap Bicycles
-Old Man in Furniture Store
-Trivia Game Where You Get Hit in the Dick
-Musical Chairs
-Being Locked in the Room With The Lights Out
-Pig Semen
-Electrocution Tap Dancing
I was always more a fan of the pranks and and the just genuinely stupid goofy stuff than the more sadist stuff like getting bitten by animals.

Última edición:
It is the dumbest thing, but I think the loudest I laughed was when they showed Dave England wearing that same ugly puke-yellow sweater with a newspaper in hand and I immediately knew what was coming. Or so I thought!
And holy shit, I hope Ehren already has kids, because I don't think he'll be having any after this.
Also, the girl really didn't do shit. No groin injuries and no falling/getting tossed around stuff. Maybe instead just hire some uninhibited porn hoe to keep up with what guys do if they want equality so much.

Just finished watching it and honestly I don't know if it's me or what but I just wasn't feeling it. None of the new cast resonated with me, and the movie had way too much Ehren. The woman was honestly worthless and seemed to just be there for equality. I honestly missed Dunn since his skits were always my favorite.

Also didn't help that the vast majority of skits seemed to be plays on old skits. Tap dancing on an electric floor was nowhere near as entertaining as when they went through the hallway of tasers.

This is all coming from a guy that enjoys Jackass 1 the most, as it had the least amount of dick and ball stuff, so take that for what you will.

He was given many chances to go into rehab and clean up his act, hell, even Steve-O cleaned up his act. But he keeps fucking up and has livestreamed himself badmouthing them. At this point, he's a complete lolcow, he has his own thread.
They should get hooked back on drugs, that'd be an epic Jackass movie.

Dunn recreating the Maxwell ad with a jet engine will always be one of the best to me. I thought the licking a tazer and the scorpion to the face was kind of a starting block for them, and hopefully they move up to some of the more extreme stuff.

Frankly think this actually surprised me. I expected way worse considering their age but they managed to do something alright and entertaining.

Could do without seeing so many of their dicks though... But it wouldn't be Jackass without that.

To piggyback off of this, and I don't know if this is a big topic, but I really felt the lack of Dunn and Bam in this. I completely understand why they aren't in the movie (lol) but it felt like there was an entire class of stunt not done in this movie. I would love to hear about how the coof impacted filming because the more I think about it the more hollow the movie felt to me.

I got around to rewatching Jackass 1 and yeah I still enjoyed it. The series still felt like there were just some guys screwing around which I enjoy more.

Most of the new cast really didn't get a chance to show much personalty or banter outside Jasper Dolphin who just comes across as a make a wish kid who is a massive Jackass fanboy, really no idea why they didn't edit him down or replace him early on in the shoot.

Hope Jackass 4.5 does show the new cast in a better light, otherwise this is a good place to end the series.

The original Jack-Ass is still the only film i had seen movie-hoppers leave in disgust over. I am guessing they were just going into any old movie after their movie let out and had no idea what jack-ass was. i recall the group sitting down in front of us about already 20 minutes into the movie. There was a scene, i think with Steve-O stapling his scrotum or something, and then the teens/early-twentysomethings that snuck in were just, "HELL NO!", grabbed all their shit, and left.

I think it needed little vignettes introducing the new crew. It didn't need to be terribly long, just a good 2-3 minutes to understand who they are and where they came from. As soon as I came back from the theater I looked up these guys and still couldn't find a lot of information. It would have been a golden opportunity to have Knoxville and co. put these guys through the ringer in auditions and crown them worthy of being in a Jackass movie.
