To Mx Jack Monroe,

You must obey this order. If you do not, you may be sent to prison for contempt of court.
:story:

Well, at least she can save the taxpayers some money by giving the prison some helpful cash saving tips that recognize no concept of long-term costs or any costs that aren't the retail price tag.

Lee Anderson MP was on Dan Wootton's GB News show to talk about Monroe failing to file her promised libel claim against Anderson. (The deadline passed the other day.) From @Legal Gengar 's Twitter, where he's getting a little MATI.

Naturally people are asking Monroe what she's going to do with the money people donated to her personal PayPal account:

A year ago today Jack Monroe retweeted a video, claiming she’d been slandered by @LeeAndersonMP1 and libelled by @MartinDaubney.
What followed was the maddest thing I’ve ever witnessed. This is a thread about what I saw and what I’ve managed to piece together since then

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
After retweeting the alleged slander to her 500k followers Monroe started started counting the views. Maybe this time she would get enough for her dream home?
Readers, by this time wild horses couldn’t have dragged me away from Twitter

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
At least she didn’t have to worry about her legal fees.

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
Then this appeared. It was quietly deleted about three hours later.
It’s time stamped

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
People donated. Of course they did. Left wing Twitter was on fire.
Even Lozza bunged her a fiver

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
Not everyone who donated had @LozzaFox resources.
This tweet is timestamped too.

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
Monroe had instructed her lawyers, we were all systems go.
Inevitably the media picked it up. It seemed to be reported everywhere.
They didn’t ask about the donations and Monroe didn’t mention them.

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
In the months that followed Monroe would, on occasion, talk about the case. She even had a team of paralegals. Understandably, it was all hush hush and she had to be discreet.

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
Except those papers which she’d said were served didn’t seem to have ever reached their destination

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:28 PM UTC
Monroe assured @MartinDaubney she was merely biding her time.

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:29 PM UTC
Finally this year she began to answer Legal Twitters questions about the money she’d raised

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 13, 2023 · 8:29 PM UTC
The time limit on this expires on Monday. @MartinDaubney , @LeeAndersonMP1 , @LozzaFox can you confirm if you have now heard from @BootstrapCook legal team?
Because if you haven’t, I have questions about a tenner.

RedSister (@RedSisterr) · May 14, 2023 · 4:57 PM UTC
@LeeAndersonMP_ given the rapidly expiring time limit for this case and the fact that many people donated to Jack Monroes PayPal in the belief she was suing you, can you confirm whether you have been contacted by Monroes legal reps at any time in the past year.
Many thanks

*chef's kiss*

I have been the only one in my social circles pointing at the massive red flags around this woman for the last couple of years. Vindication is nice, especially when someone else is doing the legwork. @Legal Gengar I'd love to buy you a pint one day.

So I had a few hours to kill yesterday, and not much I could do other than browse Twatter (hospital wi-fi is shite, who knew?) and one thing struck me. For the longest time Jack has been claiming that she's only in her current expensive property because the evil meanie landlord wouldn't let her break her lease, despite her break up, and that as soon as she could she'd be moving into a pokey one bedroom flat where she'd be sleeping on the sofa so her kid could have a bedroom (despite all indications the kid was lucky enough to escape and live with the dad).

Well according to her she got the contract through in January, which makes sense because IIRC the timeline correctly her lease was up in February
Move 1.JPG

However we're now in mid May, and there's still no sign of her actually going because of a "minor contract dispute"
Move 2.JPG

I've moved houses a lot, I've moved from one end of the UK to the other and back, I've moved between US states several times, and I've moved to other countries twice (not including the times when I moved countries for work where they handled accommodation), and not fucking once has it taken 4 bloody months, I mean how would that even fucking work?

Is the new landlord just leaving the property empty while they faff around? why is the current landlord (who is apparently a stickler for contracts), happy to let Jack just stay there, especially given her claims that she's bounced her rent more than once. Perhaps most importantly how the fuck does something as simple as a tenancy agreement take 4 fucking months to resolve? I mean in that same timeframe the UFC/WWE completed a $21 billion merger, which I imagine takes just a smidge more contract work than a fucking rental flat.

I suspect she tried to buy using the libel money from the fraudulent Lee Anderson lawsuit, but didn't pass AML (anti-money laundering) checks or something like that. That could be the "minor contract dispute".

it doesn't. no landlord is gonna pay the mortgage and possibly council tax while someone faffs around. unless the propery is a genuine shithole it should be easy to find tenants- i rent a very nondescript house out and had two offers to rent it within a week of it going on the market, the tenants were in about a month later. i've also moved a lot and never taken 4 months. shhe's talking total shit and expecting people to swallow it.

there is nothing complicated about renting a house and if you have an agent they can sort out particulars like what furtniture is included cos they do it routinely.

to me it sounds like an excuse to stay in the luxurious place. if she is so broke she can't afford the rent on that she'd have moved out asap. she's still there so she can clearly afford it.

I do have stuff to say about the suspiciously coordinated campaign of lies, harassment and libel that’s swirling around at the moment, but not tonight. I’ve spent 10 years challenging nonsense claims - those determined to believe the worst aren’t interested in evidence anyway.
Oh no, not LIBEL, Jack!? Perhaps you should try to raise £100,000 to take the scoundrel(s) to court!

To the trolls buying tickets to my events in bulk to try to embarrass me with empty seats, thanks for the sales, I’ve already been asked back.
To those who come to report back in dark internet corners, don’t forget to buy a book on the way out to burn - that’ll really show us!
Is this a figment of Jack's imagination, or is this something the Tattle lot are stupid enough to do? (I thought making work for underpaid supermarket workers was bad enough.) Why on earth would someone give money to the target of their "trolling".

Thank you for archiving all of this @Geranium - I have also separately archived everything on my own servers, so we shall never lose it.

It's one of her fever dreams. Tattle are a bunch of poor people, and apparently the cost of booking the seats at Stroud alone was something like £1,200. I don't think anyone is bulk-buying seats just to leave them empty. Trust, but verify, regardless. So, that's what I've done.

"those determined to believe the worst aren't interested in evidence anyway"

Provides no evidence of a "suspiciously coordinated campaign" nor that people are buying tickets "in bulk" to leave the seats empty. (You know who does buy tickets in bulk for failed events as part of deals with the locations? Agencies.)

(You know who does buy tickets in bulk for failed events as part of deals with the locations? Agencies.)

Oh, there have certainly been coordinated campaigns to bulk-reserve seats to stop genuine people from attending events in the past... but not for Mx Monroe.

Y'know why? It only works if the tickets which are being block-reserved are *free*

instead of looking them up to be disappointed that her events are some mixture of poverty porn and preaching, i'm going to choose to believe her events a live demo of all her whacko 'hacks.' i'd absolutely love to see her on stage washing spaghetti hoops trying to pretend its a genuinely good idea. she'd obviously have to eat whatever godawful things she produces and feign massive enjoyment.

i think she's trying to pre empt the embarassment of poor sales in a way that backs up her persecution complex.

has she successfully challenged, as in conclusively evidenced, a 'nonsense claim' a single time over the ten years? i can see she's been challenging them, but in the way a two year old challenges the word 'no,' and i doubt that's what she means.

🚨 I can't screenshot/archive at work, but Jack has finally addressed @Legal Gengar's claims! And full-named him in the process, which is shitty but on brand. Honestly, that might give him even more legal ammunition? I also don't know what 'Farms etiquette dictates on whether his name should be redacted from any screenshots and such. As far as I can tell, she's only gotten his name through the court proceedings, which seems a bit unfair. But I'm a softie about doxing lol.

Includes claiming that he never asked for a refund, and hasn't given her any chances to pay. Fucking obviously, the complete opposite of that is literally now a documented court matter.

Responses seem evenly split between praising LG for sticking to his principles, and people accusing him of "ruining someone's life" for a tenner. If it was just about a tenner, she should have just paid it, innit?

I'll try and jump on after work if nobody beats me to archiving etc. Haven't tried it on Tor yet, so can't promise anything.

Damn. She's already seemingly deleted. I hope someone managed to archive it*...

*@Octopi hopefully it's at least still in your cache so you can screenshot?

Fuck me, I was itching to archive at least that tweet asap, but I got a call and she's already nuked it. I knew she was gonna delete it but not that quickly. (:_(

I was on the Twitter app so I don't think I can get back to it, best I have is another person's screengrab:

Archive

Hopefully someone else successfully archived it but I don't know how to track the tweet's link down. I think @Legal Gengar said he was archiving stuff locally of his own accord, too?

No point dancing around his name when it’s now out there on Twitter for people to find:

Jack Monroe dijo:
And to be clear: Matthew here isn't a lawyer, he's a software developer. He didn't ask for a refund, and hasn't provided any options over the course of this action for me to pay.
Refused to provide a proper address to the court (just his business one), no email address, and no contact number to settle this. He signed up deliberately to instigate this course of action knowing I was behind on Patreon rewards, and has obfuscated and played the process at every single point to get the outcome he wants.

He threatened to come to one of my talks a while back; I literally brought him his money in an envelope to pay him back. He failed to show up despite repeatedly contacting the organisers to attempt to intimidate them and me. He's a sad, strange, despicable human being, but Mr Matthew Heath can have his five minutes of fame that he so desires. He's paid enough for it, after all.
