What's everyone's preferred ending?

Real Tyrion comes back and kills off the fake Tyrion we've had for the last few seasons, he then gets drunk and stabs Arya as she's clearly a threat, Dany because she's nuts and Sansa because she wouldn't put out. He then bitchslaps Bran for fun and declares himself God Emperor. Cue gratuitous titty party

I can't wait bros it's going to be a Night to Remember for sure. What's everyone's preferred ending? Mine is everyone dying immediately followed by a 30 minute dance routine set to all the locations of the show with all the actors followed by a group hug. "Maybe the real game were all the friends we made along the way"

Roll credits.

Since Stephen King approves of the season so far (and if Stephen King likes your ending, you're probably fucking it beyond repair), I say let's give a shout-out to the ridiculous, jaw-dropping, diabetes-inducing coda to The Stand and do a slow-mo montage of all the characters who died along the way, all set to syrupy music.

(Apologies for the horrible quality, not that you want to see this in HD.)

At this point, I really am hoping that bran does have a "It was me, Steve Austin! It was me all along!" moment to help salvage some part of this season. But then again, I probably have a better chance of finding a magical wish-granting unicorn.

Burnt through all five episode this week, avoiding spoilers, just sorta getting the vague negative impressions.

I don't know whats crazier, that GRRM thought he could pass this off as the real ending, or that Benioff and Weiss believed him.

As someone who read the books, I initially expected to get part of the ending from the show, at least something that could give us insight to the full ending. GRRM even said the book ending was going to be different.

Now? I think GRRM hates the fans, hates the show, and will burn any notes that could give them closure, and ride the fans tears to hell proud he died before finishing the book.

Bran becoming king is literally the biggest middle finger they could have possibly given the fans. ANYONE else had a bigger claim than him. Tyrion, Gendry, fucking ANYONE. To do this to the millions of viewers that patiently waited year after year to see who would sit on the Iron Throne only for THIS to happen is so nonsensically wrong it's not even funny.

TL;DR--The White Walkers should have won.

Uh...I'm just going to shoot from the hip here again and ask : If Bran can "warg" into Hodor somehow, could he not do the same thing with the Night King and off himself? What exactly is the extent, never mind the point of his powers?

@_blank_ Hey don't confuse Charles Xavier as Bran or Jean Gray as Sansa, or is it the other way around 🤔?

An unexploded cache of wildfire taking them all out and undead Stannis walking in and declaring himself King would do it for me. The internet explosions it would cause would be awesome.

Anyone. Meera, rando Dothraki dude, Hotpie, Nymeria direwolf, one of Craster's wives, Daario, anyone but the current cast.

I'm ready to start screencapping salt for the series ending. I have a feeling it's going to be the biggest shitshow ever to happen on television.

Methinks the actor's career prospects don't look good (note : be sure of course to read past the by-line)

Well at least someone is having fun from this debacle.
HBO's lawyers must have been summoned.

Alt shift x put out his video on episode 5. He doesn't sound as disappointed as the ep3 one i watched, but he's trying way too hard to justify the shows decisions.

Eh, I think he's just trying to be as neutral as possible. His live streams are a different matter. I listened to a bit of the episode 4 stream and he definitely doesn't have the attitude your videos suspect him of having.

I feel like this shit has hit people like him the hardest, because they've essentially made quasi-careers out of a show and book series they're passionate about.

Its suspected that the Night King is a powerful warg himself. Warging into another human being is difficult. Warging into another warg may be impossible.

I think the better explanation is that Bran Dr. Stranged the whole thing and chose to follow the timeline that required the least amount of effort on his part.

"Any man who says he doesnt give a fuck, obviously gives a fuck."

I'm still skeptical of those finale leaks, and I think D&D may have purposely leaked fake spoilers to hide the real ending, if only because the King Bran plot would be the worst most anticlimatic ending in television history, and my mind is still having trouble believing that we will watch such a trainwreck occur in real time. So in anticipation of GOT's horrific death tonight, here goes my extremely optimistic finale predictions:
- Dany will arrive back in Winterfell with the endlessly respawning Dothraki and Unsullied, only to be confronted by Sansa, who (along with Varys' last letters) will have informed everyone in the North of Jon's true heritage, and have gathered an army of Northmen and Tormund and his Wildlings
-Jon will be forced to either side with Sansa or Dany, and will obviously choose Sansa
-A final battle between Dany's forces and the North will unfold. Jon will battle Grey Worm, and Arya will assassinate Daenerys. Jon will use his Targ blood to control Dany's dragon and prevent it from slaughtering the North
-Tyrion (who will be imprisoned by Daenerys for execution for freeing Jaime) will be elected the new King of Westeros after Jon abandons the throne, (fitting as Tyrion is D&D's Mary Sue), Sansa will be Queen of the North and support Tyrion, Davos, Sam, and Bran will be Tyrion's advisers, and Jon will go North to become the new King Beyond The Wall.

That's pretty much the best outcome I see for tonight. If I'm wrong, oh well, at least I can come up with a better climax than the writers. If I'm anywhere close to right, I am considering it absolute proof of my Tetramonadist Titanhood.

I appreciate your optimism, and while I hope things do go better than what I'm expecting at this point, let's keep in mind Benioff is the guy who brought us Wolverine Origins, whose ending saw Wolverine fight a "Deadpool" which has no mouth, Baraka arms, laser eyes, and can apparently teleport (and DB Weiss has next to no writing or directorial credits outside of GoT with the exception of an episode of Sunny in Philly).

I gave them the benefit of the doubt with the end of S8E3, thinking maybe there was something more underneath the Nigt King and Co. (a very very very small part of me is still hoping for a long game payoff which will show Bran has been pulling the strings the entire time and/or is a puppet of the Night King). But the last two episodes have more than quashed any of those hopes.

For those poor people who can't afford an H&K or HBO subscription and get their fill of jollies from torrents and dumpster behind food pantries, I hope that you can throw a bone and post regular spoilers tonight. I will pleasure myself to your moans of horror and disappointment.
