- There's so much more people than the 90s. The 90s had a population in the USA of 250 million. it's close to 400 million now and there's about 4 billion people that would move here in a heartbeat. More people = less nature, more competition, less resources. Obviously. To me this is the biggest problem with infinity immigration, and if you mention it to a lib they will look at you slack jawed. They literally cannot comprehend that someone's anti-immigration stance would be sustainability related not a heckin racism.

Over by where I live it's more "stores closing and then being left empty since lockdown times". I wouldn't have as much of a fucking annoyance if they didn't just build the fucking apartments and warehouses ont he closed up giant plots of land, but it's all because of speculative marketing shit that they will just never actually sell it or use it for anything.

They can be converted. I think that was Bezoes 4D chess move to have thier own facilities for warehouse work, then train thier workforce and turn them into data centers later.

Correct, those literally an abandoned kaymoid. And they decide to build the apartments in a beautiful Meadow instead of literally where the abandoned Kmart is. So instead of using the unused land, they're gonna build it there. Real estate speculators who mean the boomers all need to be shot.
 
I noticed that more and more ‘workers’ are using their daily drivers for amazon deliveries. I wonder if it is to discourage theft, or just push toward having a larger gig worker class.

I went to a major city and to a (bad) Michelin bib restaurant. It was pointed out to me that a newly built several-story building nearby in view was affordable housing. Make it make sense

Maybe they could convert 1 or 2 into datacenters but the rest will be communes and killing fields.
 
I'm sorry that your particular area is getting built up like this. But you and others in this thread either don't get out much, are particularly unlucky, or both. The amount of undeveloped land in the US is humongous. I live 40 minutes outside a major city and I have more nature to enjoy than I have time to enjoy it all. The only direction I can point and not have tons of nature to enjoy is in the direction of that city

I'm sorry that you're a boomer and that you believe that we need to turn America into one big Amazon fulfillment center and defending green spaces and natures and inalienable part of America. We don't need these warehouses. That's the point. Most of these warehouses are half empty and they keep building these warehouses and apartment complexes that are unnecessary based on retarded voodoo economics, similar to China's empty cities.
And it is not a wise use of land to begin with, because there's plenty of vacant. Properties that already exist that they could put. The structures in rather than destroying green spaces and the environment.
America should not be despoiled simply due to the facts or land speculators. Can make money. Fuck land speculators. Generally fuck speculators of all kinds of all. Basically decoded human scum, but especially land speculators.

I wouldn't be half as mad if the shit we built was GOOD shit, actual beautiful stuff like old brick houses and things with flourish and care. Not mcmansions crammed up one anothers' ass made out of ticky-tacky and tape and sold for $300,000 at the minimum. Why is all new construction so cheap and soulless and ugly? What happened to American architecture? It's like this in EVERY art and EVERY industry now, everything is as cheap and gray and miserable as possible. I get needing to save money somewhere, but what's the point? Where is all the saved money going if everything is just garbage?
 
Also, I agree with Trump. On a grim immigration, but Trump's ability to completely listen to retards like Elon whenever not be his greatest weakness for some reason, AI data centers. Get the green lit. Special permitting, fast track, which they shouldn't.
