I remember Letty talking about being on pills in her NEET-nest after fishtank, having a hard time. May have been that she went back to her state before the show for a while, but she got out of it eventually.
This is profoundly sad. While I agree being on Fishtank/her relationship with Jet was not what caused it, it was more a symptom. Imagine the kind of teen girl who wants to go on Fishtank. It's not anything a normal person would want to do.

Someone commented something similar earlier; but I think people who will go onto these types of shows (where, more or less, the entire point is your own humiliation and suffering) are already far closer to the mental illness line/suicide line than most other people. Most suicidal people are "totally normal and fine" to everyone around them until they die, leading to people re-evaluating and realizing past behavior was very indicative this was coming.
I am not really sure how FishTank could possibly work to fix this. Would they need to psych eval everyone trying to come onto their show? If they try to step in and prevent people from being pushed too far and becoming too upset or whatever, people will stop watching.
Sadly just the reality of the content; will continue to happen most likely.

She actually pretty much tried to kill herself or at least didn't care if she were to live or die the summer after S1, but managed to dodge it. There's a clip from BG with her in the basecamp where she tells a story that a month or so after S1 she a lot drank, took a lot of pills, passed out, and was actually surprised when she woke up again. She didn't approach it with a "good" plan so that saved her, but she was definitely in a spot where she didn't really care what happened to her. Those who saw that one stream after LettysKnight died where she drank Kahlúa 7am and being so drunk and zonked out she was basically non-verbal know what I'm talking about.
That being said, for a lot of people there tends to be an event in their lives that divides it into "before" and "after". As in, it's just not simply possible to go back to the way things were before. I feel this is where the split has happened for FT. People will find ways to get past of the TTS filters and trigger prod with it. The moment auto-approve is on, it will get spammed for hours and hours. I can even see a pissed of contestant or a freeloader about to get kicked bringing this up. Maybe the show will go on, but the vibes will never be the same compared to S1-S5 and there will always be this dark and awkward veil over it in future.
I sincerely hope this teaches a lesson to Jet and prod in general not to stick their dicks in the talent, but knowing Jet for over 3 years by now his need to plow will still definitely override any decency he might have. Fans can whiteknight and try to "protect" contestants as much as they want, but if a mentally ill girl wants to fuck Jet, they are going to fuck Jet. The only thing that can change it is Jet growing as a person and leaving the Nepstein shit behind, but I'd rate the chance of it relatively low in near future. Dude is still like 27 so pretty young, probably feeling like he's off the chain and can do no wrong, but to grow out of that phase, something in his life has to genuinely motivate him to change. Whether this is it remains to be seen, but would really not put any stock in it.
