People never talk about this enough. If you kill yourself, everyone that loved you will blame themselves or look for reasons why you did it for the rest of their lives. It doesn't ever stop for them, but you don't have to deal with it because you're dead. Her sister who bothered to take her in and try to take care of her is never going to stop thinking about what she did wrong. She didn't do anything wrong. This isn't the first time I've heard the "low dose antidepressants killed them" cope. I hate SSRIs but taking them is a choice, and suicide is a choice. We need to stop romanticizing suicidal ideation as a society and actually treat it.

When you kill yourself everyone has to act like you were a victim who couldn't help it and that victim mentality is very appealing to dramatic mentally ill people who don't want to do the work to unfuck their life. Especially to a terminally online teenage girl getting positive attention for it after getting dumped by a weirdo. The media treats suicide like a tragic and sometimes selfless solution to life's problems, a sacrifice that makes everyone else's lives easier. It doesn't. There is not a single day since I lost someone this way that I haven't had to think about it, talk about it, or deal with the fallout from it, because other people lost them too. They also blame themselves, all for different and just as desperate reasons. If you're lucky, eventually after a few years you can move on from blaming yourself and feeling abandoned to a place of anger, which is also terrible and uncomfortable and you will still backslide and blame yourself anyway except now you feel guilty for your feelings. It's a horrible way to lose someone you loved and it taints your feelings for them forever. The fact that they existed at all becomes a curse.

We know she was flying out to hang out with Jet for like 6 months between s4 and s5. We know Jet told her to not go to college and enticed her with potential fishtank-related career opportunities. We saw the absolute state of their party house with nangs, weed, and booze everywhere. We know Ellie was bummed out about getting basically dumped by Jet and got mad at the Crazy Gang streams, specifically the one with Abi.

We also know she wasn't exactly excited to go to college after the fact - I wonder what mentor-like figure soured her views on that...

And in retrospect, there were massive amounts of red flags based on her own statements during s4. She was 100% mentally fucked up and hanging out with creeps on the internet before Jet even entered the picture, and Jet still just P&D'd, zero actual intention to start a relationship or even include her on future FT projects, even wordfiltering her name and pretending the whole fling never happened - That whole scenario is just scumbag shit from Jet.

This is the reason I stopped watching fish tank. I didn’t like how it was turning into some kind of casting couch for production or at the very least some form of wigger love island that was happening in the back ground of every season.

I’m also not going to pretend though that these girls were forced to hang out with production during or after a show wrapped. Clearly they wanted to be there, they wanted to be sexually involved with these clowns.

Jet’s motives were most likely selfish and impure, but that doesn’t make him some kind of malevolent force. We can criticize this person with out reducing them down to a murderer or laying blame on him for a suicide. I’m not seeing him as a leading cause in her death. Did Jet make her go on those fresh and fit pod casts? Did Jet make her live stream and post to insta?

Also something to consider, People posting on this website have been sued for claims that are much easier to substantiate.
