Sam and production do NOT care. They are just waiting for the dust to settle down a bit before they make 'first contact'. People are already starting to make light of the situation, people's emotions for a dead girl they didn't actually know dry quickly. As sad as it is, once most of the Fishtank fandom get to see Jet's initial reaction and TTS/posts about Ellie start to grt ignored/moderated, most fans will stop caring and continue watching, only occassionally clowning on Jet about Ellie.
Thinking Sam will have this massive breakup with Jet is retarted; Fishtank is probably MDE's only sizable source of income, and Jet is a part owner at this point. Sam probably doesn't even care that much, he is definitley more knowledgable on wigger degeneracy than any fans, and has continued to support them. Having a small community schizopost about Sam being sort of complicit in a girls suicide is way less damaging than the Markey stuff, which hasn;t affected him that much at all.
The small amount of mainstream coverage this got showed that Ellie liked the show, and that the suicide was unrelated (which it probably was for the most part). Wiggers will continue to fuck BPD Fishtank Girls (Laura) and profit off of the hate they get.

It really is unfortunate. And it doesn’t even really matter what the truth of the situation may be because a narrative has already been established.
Unless Jet did something truly criminally bad I don’t really see how one could earnestly hold him responsible for Ellie’s suicide. He could have played a role in her downward spiral, but even if he was a complete scumbag, a bad relationship is no reason for someone to take their own life unless they’re already deeply troubled.
What Jet is one hundred percent responsible for is repeatedly allowing personal drama to infect the show through his own inability to keep his dick in his pants. And he can try to downplay his aspirations of professionalism all he wants, but he’s dragging other people down with him. I don’t think Sam appreciates having to deal Freddy calling him a pedophile on instagram.

They can most definitely recover from this, we’re in the stage where everyone wants to blame Jet for her suicide and make production recognize the consequences of their actions. But even if Jet was entirely responsible (he’s isn’t), people will eventually find a way to turn it into some fucked up joke and it will just turn into more wigger drama that people bring up if/when Jet fucks up again. As for Sam, I’m sure he’s know about it for a while, I’m assuming Ellie’s sister reached out to the entire production team. They’re all working in Sam’s office and he kinda teased a return of some sort last week, Damiel hinted at it too I believe. It’s a pretty fucked up situation and Jet is definitely partly responsible for how it turned out. They can make a real return if Jet can take this seriously enough to clean up his act. He’s clearly taken it pretty hard and I suspect it’s why they went back to Rhode Island in the first place.

Whatever comes after this will no longer have the energy of Fishtank. To most people this situation is very distressing and sours the atmosphere of everything surrounding it. For a lot of the audience it just won't be fun any more, this shit is too heavy. I know a lot of you are invested in this show but if you're honest with yourself you know it is a possibility that this is the end.
