Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Since I brought up the Tigole comic, I thought I go check it out again:

If there's any truth to this, then I think it's a good thing they're putting their foot down.
Shit like this has me rethinking FFXI and it's various "fuck you for existing" fights like Absolute Virtue. Hiromichi Tanaka is still a cunt though.

I miss certain aspects about XI. Watching the elite linkshells go at each others throats was amusing. While I don't miss dealing with the heavy grind and the devs refusal to keep jobs balanced and shit, some of the community shit was great. I didn't fuck with endgame much because working overtime definitely didn't go well with FFXI back in it's prime, but I did observe it when I got to get on and watch the forums around it. If people were terrible and didn't care, or thieves? Well, their name went up in a forum and they were fucking done.

And to my fellow former XI players, let us not forget the legend of Lol Feiwong.

XIV cow is extremely mad because SE made Y'shtola's skin tone 1 shade whiter in the new expansion.

Maybe she got into skin care or something.
1. Y'shtola's body on the first isn't her source body, the WoL is the only one who stays whole moving between shards. Her farting around with catboy simp for relative years has no bearing on her real body.
2. Y'shtola's been in a coma, thus in a bed inside, for months if not close to a year. Tan skin + No sun = Not tan skin
If you're gonna suck a game's dick about it's lore, at least have the attention span to remember even a part of it.

See, I don't think they were even remotely going to suck the game's dick about its lore, they just wanted to bitch about perceived "M-Muh whitewashing" in defiance of any logic whatsoever because SKIN TONE LIGHTER, HOW DARE THEY.

But then again, I say this knowing full well that almost everyone who tries to argue something about the game's lore usually didn't actually pay attention to any fucking thing that was directly explained to them in cutscenes at some point, because paying attention is hard, but keying into one (or more) specific thing(s) completely bereft of context and then wildly extrapolating meaning or lack thereof from the events because you think you're being smarter than the story that's being told to you is clearly the sign of a true lore buff instead.

t. Actual lorefag who has been seething at those people for years, because sometimes shit either ain't that deep, fam, or your personal, sociopolitical prejudices have no bearing on this setting.

Oh man, don’t forget the Viera subclan fiasco.
Veena Viera should not be white because Rava Viera is black.
Like wtf?

Why is almost every black mage I play with allergic to raid buffs? I can't buff your damage with brotherhood if you're a malm away from the godsdamned action.

Because standing as far away as you possibly can as a caster is clearly the safest place you can be despite most mechanics being full or half-room AoEs.

I imagine that's their logic at least.

Their logic is "I've got .52 seconds left on this last Fire 4, and I live two time zones away from the server, I should be fine." It's hard to be a caster with actual cast times.

When I Dragoon shit up, I have two macros for Dragon Sight when doing dungeons. One for the tank, the other for a dps. I'd say a good 7 times out of 10, my ranged partner believes that standing 1000 miles away is the best tactical option. Which is retarded.

As a black mage player, our deal is that we want to start casting and dealing damage right away. Of course we're basically turrets so the second we start casting we have to sit still. I try my best to inch closer between casts but that mindset to immediately cast as much as as fast as I can is hard to shake sometimes. I also forget a lot that I have a literal spell where I can teleport to a party member's location.

Hey, I have a FC I run with a friend from kiwifarms called kiwifrendos. We are in the siren server and would love to have more kiwis in our group.
We have a pretty nice FC house aswell as an airship.
If interested you can DM me!
Same Data Center, but I'm not willing to pay for yet another server transfer just to join a Kiwi FC.

I'm also still of the mindset that any Kiwi-identifying group would end up being a social honeypot in which anyone who joins or is associated with it is going to be stigmatized just by virtue of association to the Farms. Or, you know, there's always the possibility of any one of its members or more running a gayop on fellow members for whatever petty reason they can come up with, which is already something that happens with most social gatherings in XIV as it is.
