I'm fine with no positional for melee as long as BLM gets a cooldown to ignore AoEs for like 15 seconds. I just want a full Fire 4 spam into double Despair and Xenoglossy rotation in my leylines without worrying about the tank spinning the boss like a top.
I would've figured the biggest problem you'd have on a caster is the fact that a lot of fights this expansion have not been caster-friendly whatsoever given the amount of moving you have to do. Then again, seeing how retarded most Tanks tend to be for myself, I shouldn't be surprised if they're spinning bosses all over the fucking place.
The joke has been that since YoshiP largely plays BLM, Yoko Taro made the Nier raids hell for stationary casters, but the SE designed raids are a bit better; it just depends on the tank not being retarded a.k.a. being in a static.

I'm very tired of hearing melee dps in my statics complaining about uptime/positionals. I've strongly considered taking 1 melee dps next expansion because I have to deal with sweaty nerd whining every tier about their logs when they have true north.
As we've established far earlier in the thread, there are people who play this game that are so unhinged, that if they know you're posting on here, they will go to every single community you're in, and campaign until you're completely removed from their communities.

It was very far back in this thread I assume, but there was a guy who got mobbed because he misused someone's pronouns and so party finder advertised a lynch mob on his estate.
Not gonna lie, I used to think exactly like that and bemoaned the way the game was being "casualized" in Stormblood. Then, around the time I finally came back to the game for Shadowbringers, I realized I changed my mind at some point and became okay with the idea, especially when I considered how fucking awful most of the playerbase is at the game.
The removal of masochist tier grindfests isn't casualization. My ability or willingness to grind out X has no bearing on my ability to stay out of the bad or pull more dps than others. Casualization also isn't the removal of arbitrary positioning that was put into the game a literal decade ago when the fights weren't designed to have you running around incessantly or the boss to be moved/moving. If they really want positioning to stay, change True North to move the player behind the boss, like Rogues or Kitty druids in WoW; All the melee DPS jobs have lore that say they're able to do that.
