This lady I have a feeling would be insufferable. I don't think even black people would want to do deal with her. But fuck me I laughed so hard when I read "riding my pillow like a bitch in heat".

I own most relevant moogle tomestone stuff already but I just noticed the Nier raids are part of the event so I guess I'll just do a few runs of those for the glam. I've still got plenty of space in my dresser so why not, right?

Same. Friend of mine has been wanting the Tower glam for more than a year now so I'm hoping this gives them an excuse to finally commit to grinding it out, which means I'll be tagging along anyway just to play content.

God I hate the community around this game.
Unironically is the main reason I rarely play anymore. Might pop in to do a clear or two but at this rate I am just wasting my money on the monthly. Seems Neverwinter Nights 2 has taken FF14's role for me, but the community in the "big" multiplayer server there are faggots for different reasons.

So now that I’m at Heavensward, it’s started off slow. Currently I’m doing quests for the elf brothers. I know I’m at the start of course and it’s not going to start off with something major, but after seeing Nanamo get “assassinated” and Teledji Adeledji getting sliced and diced by Raubahn, it felt like it slowed down a lot. When does Heavensward really get interesting?

Soon.

If you went with the older brother and not asshole one first, very soon. If not, after him is usually when things begin to go somewhere.

They slow things down like this for expansion launch logistic reasons, it forces players to disperse in multiple directions so things don't go to utter shit very quickly with the servers when everyone gets to an intense (for the servers) point too fast. Stormblood was a little more brisk with its plot and it quite literally fucked the servers up for almost days long because everyone got to the major plot beats too fast. So they generally try to slow the plot down so people don't try to hit some major set piece and get stuck (like they did in Stormblood where the big playable inciting incident happens within less than 2 hours)

Plus it serves to help introduce everyone to Ishgard interally and build into what and why you'll be doing shit there in time. Mostly in Coerthes Western, but Sea of Clouds has fine enough justification to exist and gives the expansion some much needed early splash of color, fantasy, and not snow at the start which is a little appreciated. Better than in SB where you get bumfuck desert into more bumfuck desert.

It seems GShade's developer is really trying to push GShade back into relevancy and bring people back to his malware program.

The promotion he uses for his website is allegedly done by a gposer who charges over $100 for her work, and employs heavy use of post-processing, AI-trained touchups, and stolen artwork.

Said gposer responsible for this work can be found here. It's worth noting that she allegedly used to charge upwards of $250 for her work and did not used to credit her use of AI-trained artwork until she caught for flack for it – which is what resulted in her lowering her already exorbitant pricing and more openly advertising her use of AI-trained art.

Is the 6.0 patch content worth playing though? I beat 6.0 a year ago and I'm a little worried if its even worth continuing the story. I feel like endwalker's conclusion was satisfying enough.

I am simultaneously surprised and not surprised that people will pay $250 for a fucking posing and post-processing slapjob complete with a few passings on an AI (I am paying for my generations is horseshit, stable diffusion works with a shit GPU).
I am also seriously, seriously considering fleecing this community for all they're worth as it evidently pays way better than anything I could get on the third world shithole I reside in.

$250.

For a screenshot.

Depends on how much you care about FF4.

Another friend of mine refuses to resub until this current story arc is over because he absolutely does not care about FF4 and he can't even be fucked to skip any more cutscenes than he already has so far.

Doubleposting-avoidance EDIT:

You think somebody clued them in to the fact they were being talked about on the evil Kiwi Farms? One of their last media posts before locking was a new NSFL gpose of Ryne.

I don't know I actually just noticed that. It would not surprise me because it's an extreme coincidence she shuts down a day after I posted those screenshots.

I think the current story arc is fine but at the same time it does feel like more of a side story and I don't think its potential is going to be fully utilized. Even if Y'shtola finds a way for people to freely travel between shards, the answer to the question on whether it would be possible to fix the thirteenth seems like something that would involve characters from side content like Cylva, Unukalhai and Gaia and just information from the Eden raid series in general. However, to me this plot thread feels too big in scope to relegate to side content while at the same time it'd be unreasonable to force players to do that much side content for an MSQ plotline.

So yeah personally I think the main thing of consequence that will come from this storyline will be the result of the rescue mission itself and potentially getting a new member of the main crew. For what it's worth I also think that they've taken the effort to flesh out the major FF4 references to make them fit more into the in-universe world, though they put that into yellow quests that not everyone may notice.

You do recall that Crystal Tower started out as optional side-content before being turned into mandatory content in order to facilitate Shadowbringers, right?

While on the one hand, I could easily see that also being the case here, just by nature of the fact that the majority of that side content is locked behind leveling one of each role to 80 and completing their corresponding Role Quests, I do agree that the sheer volume of the content that necessitates those plot threads is a bit too much, and it'll be very awkward for the team to write around those in order to facilitate the Thirteenth Restoration storyline.

Hell, they're already kind of shitting the bed with how they're handling a potential Garlemald Restoration, considering that potential plot beat is locked behind doing every 90 Role Quest and then completing the combined Role Quest, which they already tend to reference in current story beats if you've actually done all of that before this point.

Yeah but I don't think that one alliance raid series is on the same level of time and effort as a regular raid series, trial series, role quests and then a chain of yellow quests following that. Just going by my theoretical assumption of what would be plot relevant.

I acknowledged as much in the rest of my post, though.
