Sorry for the double post but I just have to say that the truly degenerate and sex crazed corner of twitter for FFXIV is probably THE most cursed fucking thing I have ever seen and I seen some shit.

Meet....whatever this thing is. Someone who has modded the game so heavily that it's become a dollar store Second Life so that they can live out their MAP fantasies under the guise that their character is a "halfling". Taking a gander at their twitter is enough to make you vomit into your mouth.

Currently on mobile so sorry for the sloppy post.
I was curious if either of these are real or just some weird bullshit and LORD I WISH I HADN'T. Looks like the other one pictured in the comment was complaining about 'Being locked again' but not the very heavy airquotes halfling.

I've been playing Astrologian these past couple of months for 90 and Expert roulette and I'm amazed by how bad players can make these pretty easy dungeons utter hell sometimes. Lately I've had The Dead Ends often for my daily 90 roulette and its a coin flip that I will either get mouth breathing Limsa AFKers who are hunting for the Starbird minion or semi-competent players.
Getting Dead Ends on any class means you're likely dragging some smooth-brained idiot through things and may god have mercy on your soul because two of the three bosses kill these parties dead as hell.

Runs include any of the following: Tanks typically only using their big mits for bosses (or forgetting about it entirely), tanks standing in trash AoEs due to laziness, people stacking vulnerability debuffs/getting doomed every time, DPS standing in the black goop in area 1 and somehow not realizing they are losing 10k HP/tick, DPS not AoEing, etc. No matter how good you are at healer, you can't outheal extreme stupidity. Especially when you are MP starved from multiple res's due to DPS dying to raid wide damage with vulnerability stacks and Super Ether is already on its 5 minute C/D.
Nearly 100% of my Dead Ends run for months now have usually been ending up with everyone but me and one competent DPS dying to the second and last bosses, without fail.

A little more than half of them have been ending up with the healer eating shit to the very first boss as well. Usually because they don't realize they have to stand near someone during the triangle stack markers, or they eat one of the AoEs and never cleanse their own Doom effect.

I'm vaguely recalling a handful of cases where people fucking ran away like their lives depended on it when someone tried to stack on them for the triangle stack marker, and then after getting themselves and the person trying to do the mechanic correctly killed, they're always just like "oh, I didn't know you had to stack for that" or, more often, "wtf how did I die???" How these people made it to the end of Endwalker and STILL don't recognize a mechanic that has popped up frequently by that point confuses and horrifies me. Especially when none of them are first timers.

I did Dead Ends yesterday and was braindead healing as WHM. Both the tank and the lala dancer got hit with the doom debuff. I esuna'd the tank but the dancer got hit at the last moment while I wasn't looking and I failed to notice they were debuffed leading to their death. Mind you the tank was literally paper so I had to expend more effort to keep them alive because if I stopped healing them to dps for 3 seconds they'd be 3 quarters dead.

They got so ass mad that they declined my raise, respawned outside and then left the instance without a word lmao

I'd feel bad about it if it weren't an insanely easy mechanic to do. What can I say? Don't get hit, idiot.

People in this game are really something else. I've had people go off the goddamn rail because I tell them to return instead of waiting for a raise so they can come back without weakness into the next boss in 24man raids and shit. After they're done acting like an autist, they leave the instance even if we're at the last boss for whatever reason. They probably think they're "proving a point" when literally accomplishing nothing.

Hold up, do you remember the Lalafell Dancer's name? Because a few weeks ago, I was doing a main scenario roulette, my brain went stupid and I forgot about my stance turning off with level sync, so midway into the first wall-to-wall pull, I realized it, turned it on, established aggro properly, popped my CDs, and poked some fun at myself for derping on my stance like that, and I had a Mentor-crown wearing Lala Dancer immediately ragequit without a word as soon as I said something about it. They didn't even drop during the pull at all, so I don't know why they had to get so assmad over someone joking about their own fuckup.

Man I wish I had those shenanigans happen during my runs as healer. But in the 1000+ Runs of various dungeons, I can count on one hand where something like that happen. Normally no one ever types something other than some cringy hello/goodbye macros and that's that.

This is how most of my runs go as tank.

As DPS I don't even fucking know. Three pulls in and I'm explaining what tank stance is then they stance up and I'm still pulling aggro from them. I just gave up on that shit.

This is the crybaby.

You probably didn't run into him because he's a Seraph fag.

I was in Limsa Lominsa a moment ago and witnessed a lalafell band all with the last name “mangler”. That was the strangest shit.

Just be careful who you talk to!

Just do what you enjoy and have a good time, mate. Might I ask what race and job you chose?
I started a Miqo'te Thaumaturge, you can hardly go wrong with blowing things up when you start out (and no bunnygirls for the poor and unpaying).
Strolling into the guildhall for the first time and seeing a bunch of Lalafell in dark robes while emoting like little kids was an experience I was not ready for. At first I was kinda worried because there weren't a lot of people around in Ul'dah, but it turns out everyone was just squatting in Gridania listening to the bards, and queue times for the early dungeons is a bit too long too, but I guess everyone is grinding the later ones.

At this point, I'd say it's more because most dungeons can be run with AI partners instead, so I'd assume a lot of newer players go for that over having to run with other people because other people are "scary" because expectations and whatever gay shit.

Then again, leveling roulette surprises me with how much I see first-timers run with other people in earlier content, so what do I know.

There's various possible factors. If you're on the Dynamis datacenter that's a lower population DC and most people travel to another DC for their queues which has a snowball effect of making queues longer and making more people travel. Alternatively we're in a content drought right now so it's possible a lot of people are taking a break so there's less endgame players who can get paired with beginners in level roulette.

I usallly play with one friend and the AI option is for solo-ers only, which Is weird consdering how party friendly the rest of the game usually is, a "does everyone agree to fill the rest of the party with bots?" option wouldn't feel out of place. But then again it's usually just 5-8 minutes so it's not like I am dying of prolonged boredom out there, or maybe I've just forgotten the wait times in other MMOs.

I always use the queue time for less-played dungeons to do some side content. Yeah, the brown quests themselves might be boring but taking your time and actually reading what everyone is saying does help the world building imo.

If you pay attention, there is a lot of dark shit in the FF universe, from slavery, to brainwashing (and possible rape) or restless spirits trying to enact their vengeance. There is even a side quest chain that once you clear it, there is a rare chance you can sometimes see a ghostly girl watching over your journey in the bigger cities. Or maybe it was just Gridania. Anyways, there is a ton of stuff to do, and each side activity gets more complex and more repeatable content the farther you get into it. I think it's pretty great.

Just uh...you know...watch the players that love to groom sprouts.

It's funny because the new players who are afraid they'll be bad because they don't know boss mechanics are almost certainly going to be better than the usual mongoloids hammering that duty roulette button.

That's in all 3 cities, but Gridania is just in one of the more obvious spots because she's right in the open and not off in some out of the way corner. Limsa especially is out of there because it is entirely inaccessible due to being behind a loading zone to the upper half of the city.

I reached a point in the MSQ where there’s a jump from lvl 46-49, so I’ve been grinding dungeons. All I can say is that the FFXIV community is obnoxious. I’m just here running these dungeons so I can continue the MSQ.

I'm surprised you hit the level wall. I was under the impression that doesn't exist anymore since the MSQ now gives you retarded amounts of XP. That's what friends who've rolled new characters to try out each different balance change has attested to me at least.
