I thought I'd be excited to see Part 3, but aside from seeing Cid in action the rest of the reveal just wasn't doing anything for me. A lot of it has to do with the lighting during the day and the "anti-soul gas" post processing which is what real turn me off in Rebirth for me, among other things. I'm mixed on the looks of the Weapons this time around and I can't really put my finger on why exactly. I guess it's because they look more Sin-like now as opposed to these weird, almost human/mech hybrid kaijus.
I suppose the point is to make them look more...naturalistic, like they actually look more ancient and naturally animal-like as opposed to robotic, which is a shame because Sapphire got the short end of the stick in terms of this new design choice and looks less menacing and almost cute(??) because of the beady little eyes as a result.
They seemed to have at least nailed the scale of these monstrosities, so there's the silver lining. Also a bit disappointed to hear 7R Sephi's VA got changed which was a concern of mine for the other VAs during this whole trilogy. Shit like that triggers my VA consistency autism no thanks to Sora and Ansem in KH ReCoM. Wonder if Japs will feel the same with JP Reno since the VA passed away during Rebirth's development.

I did too, and yeah there is a lot of info geting thrown out at once. From what they said they seem to be keeping up with the minigames but making them optional for those who don't enjoy them. So basically not locking the ship travel and Costa with QB and the minigames I guess.

Instead of remaking the same game 3 times in a row (Not counting the other remakes, Jesus) they could've instead made a trilogy modernizing FF 5/6/7 because they all built upon the combat system that led to Action RPGs.
I think your seriously underestimating the amount of effort it would take to fully realize these worlds and populate them with characters. You can't just port this shit. You have to fill out the connecting tissue in a 3D space that glossed over details outside of select areas.
With the new changes to sephiroth VA now i cant take out of my mind sephi saying "after i destroy the world ill make a new one and my first decree will be that women will have to wear tiny mini skirts" iykyk
I hate to say it but beside my dislike of ff7 part 1, part 3 looks to have more put into it which makes me get part 2(on deep sale) just to sit down and play it.

part 2 is legit great. Ironically the only "compliant" I have is that there's too much to do.
That's not to say the main story is unsatisfying by itself. I actually skipped though a lot of the side content and the main story had enough meat on its bones to keep me really invested. It was legit shocking how little they cribbed from the game side stories besides two or three elements.
Losing Bone Village isn't that big of a loss, and I assume they mean Forgotten Capital since we already went to the temple in Rebirth.
So this basically leaves Ft. Condor, Icicle Inn, and the Sunken Gelnika as the big ifs. Snowboarding is practically confirmed since they hint at it at the Gold Saucer.
Submarine stuff is my biggest question right now. I don't care about the underwater stuff itself, but with how big on mini games they are I really can't see them ditching it entirely.
