Jessica must have left some sort of impression of realness on the phone to Chris or something, that really struck a chord with him because this is the first sweetheart I can remember him pining over and lamenting losing for so long. The good thing about this is that at any point in the near future if Jessica wants, she can come back and start the whole thing over again.

I know that Chris is a dumbass but even he should be able to see some correlation, betweeen Jessica being possibly a troll and when Jessica ended the relationship with him, since it was literally the day before they were meant to go on their date.

He needs to remember too that when it comes to his OC, he's the director of his content and can break up Nightstar and whatever Jessica's one is called, even though it is funny to see him lamenting the fact that he's being cucked by his own creations

The reason Chris thought Jesse was real is because she interacted with him publically through Facebook and because of the long con. Chris' brain works backwards, he thinks the internet is real and real life is just a bad nightmare where no one pays attention to him.

I don't think CWC misses Jessica per se; I think he is lamenting the loss of the *concept* of a sweetheart, where the name/looks/personality of said sweetheart aren't all that relevant. If someone new came along tomorrow, JQ would be out the window and soon forgotten.

IIRC, Chris has had a pretty dry spell on the romance front for a couple of years, and his conversion to a lesbian-souled whatever didn't result in him swimming in china. Maybe, deep down, he's starting to realize that his opportunities are becoming fewer and farther between, which results in him wanting to hang on to what he (thought he) had because it could be a while until the next one comes along.

What is up with chris making fan ponies as some kind of erzats for his relationship once it starts going south.

I think this is more evidence of Chris's belief in sympathetic magic/voodoo. Just like he thought building his Lego Manchester High and populating it with all of his gal-pals would bring them back to him for the class reunion, and just like he thinks shaking up his Lego figures of Megan and Snyder and MLW brings them harm in the real world, he's doing whatever he can to keep him and JQ together.

While a normal person would, y'know, send flowers or call and try to work things out, Chris instead resorts to drawing cartoons of anthropomorphic ponies in his happy place.

I think him falling for Jessica is because she was already "vetted" in his mind.. She stayed on his FB comments and possibly DMs for YEARS with no troll conduct coming from her side. Which btw makes her look like a real ween if it's been her all along and not multiple people like @Marvin theorized.

In a way it's similar to Ivy's inflitration story, because she had to talk to his parents 1st, he felt that they had "vetted" her and immediately started opening up to her.

I also believe that he did mention Jessica's photos not coming up in searches, which means that either he checked it himself, or more likely, he got people to either check it themselves or piggyback off our own stated progress on identifying her.

I think you missed @Marvin's point, what he is saying is that once you pass his initial checks*, you've gained complete and unfettered access to him.

It's the autism, he can't distinguish between nuances. He shouldn't be using the Internet if he doesn't have executive function skills to do so. I think that was one of the huge reasons Chris trooned out in the first place.

I agree with this. Ever since Bronycon, Chris has viewed MLP as a means of escaping from reality, and based on his description of Night Star, I think he was basically trying to bring his imaginary friends into the real world - an incredibly overpowered character, who was explicitly his avatar in Ponyland, who could travel to other dimensions, including this one. By having Night Star and Horse Feathers or whatever JQ's avatar was called being a couple, he's trying to dick with reality.

Or he's hoping she'll see his post and think, "Well, having the ponies together but not the humans just ain't right. Come, Christine, let us trib forevermore!"
