It's kind of 80s actually. As a kid I wore the slouch socks over the leggings. I didn't know it was back. Everything comes back into fashion eventually.
A lot of the clothes on that site are shapeless. Most of the dresses look like nightgowns and underwear. Who wears this stuff and why?

I haven't stopped laughing at the second one for five minutes. Athletic shorts, tube socks, and flip-flops. I don't even think those three items are the same brand. That wouldn't really make a difference, but it looks extra tacky.

The hunched shoulders just add the perfect *chef's kiss* to the whole thing.
Both look hideous. I mean they're like granny nightdresses but sheer over pointless clothes. A sheer overlay looks best (imo) if it's a pattern or embroidery overlaying a dress that it accents.

I'm sorry but for a woman this fat, it's a terrible shirt choice. I don't think it would look good on anyone but that tie bit emphasizes just how massive she is.
Independent clothing companies seem to trend a lot towards really garish clothing that would make even a 10 year old embarrassed. Additionally, a lot of the clothing looks terrible on the plus sized models they have.

It really ties the whole thing together, doesn't it? Adds an extra layer of "I look like a retard and dress like one, too!"
The other problem with some of these companies is they see making small-scale amounts of clothing as counter-culture, so instead of focusing on a quality product, they focus on weirdly niche markets like stuff that only specific ethnic or disabled groups would understand. How big is that market? Unless it's just screenprint garbage and scamming suckers, I don't see how it's particularly profitable.
