the thing that really gets me about catholics is the rosary. it's not even about the crucifix, wearing one is a bit gauche but i'm not going to call you an apostate over it. it's the fetishism of an object that's problematic to me. even during communion/mass when you're literally consuming wine and bread that we are all fully cognizant is standing in for the literal flesh and blood of jesus christ - people don't even have the reverence for the wafer that catholics do for a necklace around their neck. It just seems like misplaced priorities that border on apostasy if you really want to drive that wedge in

euphoric christians are just their chud version of the millennials who mistake Harry Potter for hard hitting political allegory.
I mean, Rowling might've had some kind of real world influence for the bankers if nothing else

Wasn't it the excess fanaticism of the "religious right" that helped push the pendulum to loony left Clown World?
Might be relevant, since I pointed this out here:
Despite sexual immorality being an issue, there clearly is an odd hyperfixation on sex. One of my last posts from another thread about calling Moscow a modern day Sodom despite the alphabet soup getting forcefully erased nation-wide and "trad family" being glorified wasn't a joke. Also I actually really despise the word "sodomite" as an euphemism for men who have anal sex. It perverts the whole story from the Bible which I'm growing to love every time I come back to it, and I'm not ignoring here the fact that this activity was a part of why Sodom was destroyed. The key word, "a part," and context/scale matter too, the city wasn't destroyed because some random guy quietly fucked another guy. All this term did was to make secular people believe that Christianity teaches that any homosexual activity specifically is what automatically triggers meteor showers for no coherent reason whatsoever.

This sort of fixation is also one of reasons why perversion is getting fueled due to the pendulum effect. That's a whole other story, but in short, the basic rule of psychology of any fetish is that it's inherently fueled by shame, taboo, and sense of victimhood. Plenty of gay/trans coming out stories feature some kind of rabid "conservative" background and that's for a reason that many still try to ignore.

I think this hyperfocus on sex is likely a comfortable yet hypocritical state of denial for many people, after all, in a way, sexual sins can be very easy to control or be hidden to create an illusion of a "righeous" society. Imo, looking closely at people reveals that for every excuse for sexual immorality among liberals, there's a dozen, if not a hundred, excuses for assorted sins coming from "traditionalists". Since I mentioned Moscow, I just recalled this stupid catchphrase that a lot of "traditionalists" love to come back to, as a marker of a "perfect", "righteous" society. I don't think I need to explain why this idea is painfully hypocritical in the context of USSR realities and how they fall into spiritual warfare. Performative anti-sexuality is worth nothing, especially when you're building a society based on ideology that promotes putting human understanding before God altogether and for saying you believe in Jesus you'll get executed or put in an asylum where you'll get tortured.

Maybe that's by design. Sexual immorality is never a cause, but a fruit of the spirit. Maybe nobody wants to talk about it, because at the core it's pride and lust. If you frame it that way, then the heterosexual majority will inevitably fall under this. If you actually start talking about sin, it will quickly expose that most people commited more non-sexual sins than sexual. People don't want to hear this. Satan can't have that either, because this logically should lead to mass awakening that we need a savior.
I think there are dozens of other factors that contributed to the Clown World, but this behavior certainly doesn't make it better. It's also likely going to get cringier with more and more larpers joining.

This feels like the perfect opportunity to bring up Warhammer 40,000. Euphoric Christians agree but they're not sure how this is a special time because that game is always relevant in their delusions, in fact, this is what draws the line between an annoying religious devotee and an euphoric christian in my opinion. I won't deny that not all annoying Warhammer fans are euphorics, this is a brand that gets away with every hallmark of a "shitty fandom" because it looks "adult" (while looking like the nineties phase of Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear you-know-I'm-right), euphoric christians are just their chud version of the millennials who mistake Harry Potter for hard hitting political allegory. Or possibly actual gospel with how much they seem to think that Slaanesh, Nurgle, The Horned Rat, or whatever are actual gods marching into Hogwarts Holy Terra.
You have:
  • Medieval History
  • The Bible
  • Real demonology
  • Modern historical parallels
  • Authentic religious fiction
to use in a simile, why the FUCK would you pick toys marketed at children in a serious political conversation? Um, excuse me, I forgot to speak their language to effectively explain this. Why are you using trademarked characters like they are words of High Gothic? That is very Tzeenchian of you. Lorgar, his father admonishes. The Imperium of Man isn't even a science fiction analogue of Christianity, it's a civic pagan death cult, it's the kind of people the Conquistadors and the Prophets ruthlessly exterminated in history. Euphoric christians belittle their religious forerunners and the hard decisions they made by equivocating them through this game line.
I really don't get how people take Warhammer 40k serious in any way. I mean, I like the games as much as the next guy and the lore is fun, but it's also all deeply unserious. Which makes sense since it was borne from an over-the-top parody of all sorts of scifi tropes and works, and only somewhat recently became a huge franchise that tries to take itself seriously. But it's still incredibly juvenile and not to be taken seriously at all, and I don't see how people can take overpriced Army Men and shoddy books and treat them as some sort of high brow art.

/edit:
I haven't interacted with a lot of euphoric Christians yet, but yeah, they can be annoying as fuck. Especially when it's clear that they're LARPing mainly for the aesthetics. I guess it's also related to and overlapping with those who LARP as connoisseurs of philosophy and high art. Somehow I've most often seen that from Balkanites, trying to elevate themselves above the scum around them, I guess.

What is happening to Christianity is basically the same thing that happened with Paganism when Christianity caused the Roman Empire to collapse.

When Christianity was rising, it was essentially shitlibbery of the Romen Empire era.

The Christian liberals were causing a ruckus wanting to destroy the old "conservative" pagan religion and old traditions that came along with it meanwhile the Pagan "conservatives" just wanted to grill and hated the Christians for being civilization destroying shitlibs.
Then the Christians eventually succeeded in Destroying the Roman Empire and Paganism was completely snuffed out and Christianity replaced.

Then what happened, is throughout the incoming centuries, Christianity was "corrupted" by the Europeans that adopted it and reformed it into an organization that was functional and worked for European societies.

And now Christianity has become associated with "conservatism" and the shitlibs now are doing to Christianity as to what Christianity did to the Pagan conservatives.

Christianity has basically become a folk religion like Paganism was back the end of the Roman Empire, it's why a lot of people in it are essentially just LARPers that use it as an aesthetic.

Reading German occultism like pic related is almost enough to make someone a globalist. Like how could an ideology have any validity when something so goddamn retarded is a foundational text?
"The science of the sodomite apelings and the divine electron" sounds like it could've come from Francis E Dec

when Christianity caused the Roman Empire to collapse.
The collapse of the *western Roman empire was caused more by what happened in the third century crises and the empire being stretched so fucking far and thin it was untenable for any one emperor to manage it. While I may dislike Diocletian’s practices when it came to persecuting Christians, his tetrarchy was brilliant and made sense for how bloated and unstable things were becoming with civil wars and Roman armies fighting each other. Constantine being the first Christian emperor was unprecedented, but the empire as a whole wasn’t Christian overnight. There was dissent even amongst Christians in Rome, Constantine’s son Constantius II was an Arian. Julian the Apostate was the original RETVRN chud and attempted to bring back traditional Roman pagan worship practices. And ironically, the goths that invaded Rome were Arians too, so technically Christians invading another Christian land. All this goes to say is I think Christianity had largely little to so with the western Roman empire collapsing.

Precisely. This is one of those history conspiracy facts nobody wants to acknowledge while it is the definition of an "elephant in the room".

The reactions of people everywhere when you tell them that Christianity has done way more harm than good in-general is like a DEI priest trying to gaslight you that "DEI didn't enshittify modern culture and isn't cultural terrorism" when you tell them exactly so and a Stalinist telling you that "Stalin did nothing wrong stop spewing nonsense".

From Constantine onwards the Christians are going out of their way smashing every single trace of the old culture, killing gentiles, and burning libraries, if that didn't contribute to a cultural collapse then whatever the DEI movement is doing right now won't be counted as one of the reasons why the American Empire can potentially collapse.

Also the infighting didn't happen until Christianity rose to power. Guess that once you have multiple faiths who preach complete intolerance against all other parties but themselves and the people who are supposed to keep them in check are siding with those radicals, things get really nasty. Quick.

Yup, The Christians were the original wokists who wanted to destroy and ruin their "conservative" pagan society who then later on reformed themselves then became a functional organization and became the new "conservatives."

The cycle is happening again, now the Christians are the ones in the position of the Pagans who were the conservatives who wanted to keep society the way it is meanwhile the shitlibs today are trying to destroy it.
They will succeed, and then overtime they will reform themselves into a functional ideology and shitlibbery will become the "conservatism" of tommorow until some new form of shitlibbery rises up and tries to destroy it.

Mind you, the version of Christianity they want to destroy is the Renaissance era version of Christianity that keeps societies running.

The ultra-fundamentalist shit only changed form to ensnare more gentiles that Christian missionaries can't convert at all (e.g. China or Cambodia), it didn't completely die.
