The reddit privacy policy (a) outlines what information the platform collects. The IP address data is stored for 100 days and the signup IP is stored indefinitely. This seems to be the policy dating back to the 2017 version visible on their site.

He is looking to identify the moderators so that he can serve them with the lawsuits, since they are party to all three.

He is not going after individual users who shitposted.

Reddit is so bizarre. Even this website, which has an overwhelmingly Republican userbase, is not nearly the level of echo chamber you see with any subreddit. What is it about Reddit that turns people into demons straight out of the pits of Hell?

I avidly used Reddit in the past until my account was banned for "false reporting" people threatening suicide and harm. The site itself has a consistently political slant that pours into everything. Even if you just join a reddit for a video game community or some relative nonsense. It will have its propaganda pour into your feed no matter what.

Take for example Elon Musk's "nazi salute". And how suddenly EVERY FUCKING SUBREDDIT decided to ban crossposts from X / Twitter. Even the most fringe topic had this ban. You couldn't escape the misery they want everyone to experience. You aren't allowed to escape their shitty political takes. There is also the general misery of these terminally online moderators. Who will push the most backward views and rules into subreddits. See how long it took to get Awkwardtheturtle banned from the site, moderating over 100 or so subreddits.

I could see a good play for them would be to point fingers at the reddit/discord mods and make one person out as the ring leader of this operation.
If they both know who is responsible for the CPS stuff, which could potentially result in criminal charges down the line, it would make a lot of sense for Denims and Kaceytron to align their stories and stick to that version.

Or if they go for a quick and dirty settlement, splitting the lawyer cost could be a good play too.
