I am sure there are more cases, but generally PII will be redacted in court documents so we simply may not know.
Requesting PII from social media platforms for the purpose of criminal investigations or civil trials is common and happens all the time.

It isn't any different from requesting information from ISP to identify who an IP address was assigned to at a given time or requesting information from phone carriers to learn who a phone number belongs to or where the phone was purchased.
