When another year passes and we get nothing for this game.
No DLC, no patches, no Denuvo removed, nothing.

They fucking tripled the price of DD1 on GoG a few days after DD2's release (5AUD up to 15AUD). To me that says everything: they saw how it was received, knew word of mouth would be old fans saying "just play the first one, it's cheap and runs on a potato", so capcom capitalized on that and abandoned DD2 in favor of MHWilds.

I'm assuming the same happened with the price on Steam, but I already owned it on Steam so I didn't get to see the price increase in realtime there.

MH sold much more than DD2 and DD2 was itsuno's pet project, crapcom has probably deemed the IP lost, knowing nipponese retardation and nepotism.
only to see that princess suddenly lust for the MC for no reason.
to be honest the duke does try to choke her to death because of dragon magic fuckery with your MC being her savior... you do get a quest to make her flee the country after that though, knowing how the beloved mechanics work she isn't even sure to become your beloved...

MH is still mega huge in Japan, and has been around for over 20 years. Of course it sold more. Capcom has actually, bafflingly, claimed they see Dogma as one of their flagship IPs after the "success" of DD2.

I tried to boot up DD2 the other night after jonesing for some pawn interactions. Got to the pawn creation screen and I couldn't bring myself to do it, knowing what lay ahead. It's such a shame. Having people borrow my pawn in DD1 and seeing their pawns - it was one of my most satisfying gaming experiences. Maybe I'll bring myself to do it this weekend and see if there's anyone out there still borrowing.

Been completely ignoring the main plot and just adventuring. Game's much more fun that way, for sure. Blundered into the Sphinx's area after having COMPLETELY forgotten she was in this game. Good God, that certainly is a character they made. Really hits the perfect crazy bitch level of fight/flight response when she zooms into your FOV and quirks her head at you. Also just been reminded of how fucking annoying it can be to get the final skills for the magic classes.

Dragons Dogma 2 got a private depot update on the 15th and people have begun speculating/freaking out about a potential expansion.

Could just be a standard patch, could be an expansion, could be something else.
They haven't patched the game in ages.
I want to believe it's DLC, but it's probably DMR related, like removing Denuvo and putting Enigma or some other faggot shit Capcom is want to do.

I was fucking dumbfounded when I came back to DD1 after like a full year, and rested at an inn to see my pawn had earned over 2 million rift crystals (I'm assuming because I'd built her as a mage/sorc for endgame Bitterblack grinding).
Unironically more satisfying than 90% of multiplayer experiences I've had and it's not even 'real' multiplayer.

I got a steam friend request from some random mongoloid a while ago when they were grinding DD1. Then I saw from their account activity that they played DD2 for like a week before dropping it.

I can't even bring myself to huff any copium about this. Vanilla DD2 burned me harder than The Dragon did in that gay cutscene.

There's been scuttlebutt about a snow region since, I think, almost the beginning so that's interesting.
Relics sound like BitterBlack gear which is fuckin gross. The BB gear grind was the worst part of the DLC and required autistic save scumming and roll manipulation, or just brute forcing it.
Only thing I found so far

Hopefully it means more monsters and different types in the base game.
>all it needed since launch
There's so many things DD2 needs besides a new region and a bitter black grind.
