After restarting my PC I can no longer reach the .net domain while NetShield is on.

Edit: Can no longer access .net with NetShield off, even after restarting my PC.

Edit2: Might have accidentally been using tor while testing yesterday. I had a tor window open from when my VPN was down, and it still works on tor.

Edit3: I can now access .net again after changing servers.

Edit4: Can access .net even with NetShield on until I change servers. Kick was also blocked on one server because of a "security policy". Wtf is this VPN?

Última edición:
Just went ahead and cancelled Proton VPN. The .net failure happened months ago and I assumed it was some sort of issue on the website's end, I'm not very hip on how this shit works. I was already getting angry because Proton VPN has shown it isn't reliable enough to remain on when you're gaming online. I could file a report but we all know you're better off pissing in the wind when some seething tranny is involved in any position of power.

Just adding my name to the list, I'm on ProtonVPN and can confirm .net doesn't redirect until I turn off NetShield. Interestingly the GM of the company says it's working on X but I can't figure out how he's doing it, I tried different countries/browsers with no luck. I've got the unlimited plan and I WILL Karen out if it isn't resolved.

As a ProtonVPN customer, I replicated this behaviour yet I didn't even get redirected to kiwifarms.st so I filed a report and told them to fix this shit or I'll buy Mullvad.
tl;dr: Their explanation for blocking kiwifarms.net was that 1 (formerly 2) out of 97(!) security vendors on virus total (A) flagged kiwifarms.net as unsafe, which is clearly bullshit. I was patient with them for three months but my subscription is running out and I'll just move to another VPN. In my opinion there's a troon somewhere on their team that is blocking this issue from being resolved.
Currently none of them flag it as unsafe so this excuse is a larger turd yet.

There has to be a stink ditch or dong gone called someone at Proton only way to explain this willfull stonewalling.

You are good to go on Private Internet Access and Pihole. Tested all the configurations at my dispoal and it redirected each time.

ios+Brave
Android+Firefox
Pihole with only default list blocking 70k
Pihole full retard with 20+ lists blocking 700k

I don't use a VPN or anything but .net seems to resolve fine on both FiOS and Mint Mobile.

Using Brave with Norton (the antivirus) VPN, got this:
An interesting update:

When I placed my mouse over the "Learn more about this warning" link, the link at the bottom of the screen referenced a "chromeerror" page; clicking on it opened a new tab referencing correcting errors in the Google Chrome browser.

So am I using an independent browser (Brave), or just something with a Chrome framework underneath a different frontend?! Incidentally, once I clicked that I wanted to continue to the page, it apparently set a value to not have that window appear anymore.

If you weren't aware, Brave (like many other browsers) is essentially Chrome with their own flair added to it. So a lot of the error pages and settings and what not will likely reference Chrome/Chromium unless they are very thorough in updating it. So, I guess no you are not using an independent browser but that's the problem with the Chrome monopoly.

It works for me on Proton. It redirected fine. I'm using the free version and no net shield.

I'm thinking about canceling them regardless because they have been sucking lately, it's been slow as hell for the past few months.

Confirmed netshield sucks. Shame as I picked up not too long ago a longer term buy with proton but mostly to remove gmail/drive from my life. Pissed AF though their VPN is both ass speed wise and troon infested.

It'll be a while but clearly I should go back to mail only with them and switch to a cheaper plan eventually.

If I give a fuck about torrents though it sounds like Mullvad won't work? PIA got a sketchy owner and that's part of why I moved.

Has anyone else noticed how ProtonVPN has been just totally sucking it on archive.today recently? I can’t access that site without disabling that particular VPN, which happens with certain sites IP blocking commonly used freeware IP’s that thousands of people use. Shit’s gay. ProtonVPN needs to check themselves before they wreck themselves.

For now ProtonVPN free version w/ Brave works great for me on KF, no need to turn off anything. Just archive.today has issues.
