One, you can just hear the epic Hans Zimmer/Lebo M score just waiting to break out.
The other, David Attenborough narration.

if somebody re-edited the CG Lion King as a nature docu it might be kind of an interesting exercise. One, you can just hear the epic Hans Zimmer/Lebo M score just waiting to break out.

For my part, I don’t recall ever seeing a movie theater audience break into applause at the end of a film before.
So I rewatched The Lion King and if I had one complaint about it, it's the fact that the chameleon in the gorge was so contrived, so conveniently timed to get Simba to practice his roars so he could fully believe he was the one who caused the wildebeest stampede. The hyenas were the ones who caused the stampede by making a ruckus, however, which they did when Scar gave them the signal to begin (which was just by showing up to give them a look, I dunno). Why couldn't they have waited to hear the echo of Simba's feeble roar in order to get the timing down just right?
So guess my question is how they handled the wildebeest stampede in making Simba believe it was his fault. Did they keep in the contrived chameleon?
So how effective is Scar? I can't give two fucks about Simba or Musafa and Nala is a lost cause (Beyoncé).the movie was pretty meh, but i didn't hate the CG of the lions. They did show emotion, just because they weren't grinning like exceptional chimps didn't mean they lacked emotion. Still prefer it to the cartoon, i like seeing real animals.
It's just how it is, unfortunately. People grow up, look at the stuff from the past and figure "Let's see if this can turn a profit!" without realizing why it was good (or bad, if that happens to be the case) in the first place. That and "New ideas are haaaaaaaaard." But that's always been an issue since the latter half of the 20th century.I do not understand the impetus behind the mass of lemmings that went to see this thing.
These movies are staples of our childhood. They’re supposed to stay in the past while we move on to bigger and better things.
Why is this generation so creatively bankrupt in our tastes???
