Bean has some wit though, she's a bit like Leela but not that moody, and a bit like Fry, like it's been said.
Bean is well-written in the sense she comes off as intended: a lazy and indecisive 18-year-old. But she's still a little cartoony, as is the rest of the show.

What I mean by saying Fry is a stronger character is while a little zany he feels like a real person, and there's more going on to his personality than just the drunk and stupid elements which the show plays for laughs. Bean doesn't have quite as much else going on with her.

You're spot-on though in pointing out she's pretty similar to a cheerier, less-intelligent Leela.

I just binged it and I have to say I really like it. My only complaint is that it's a tad heavy on the gore/dismemberment as comedy thing.

I think I might actually give this a watch. I heard some people bitching that the main character was too mean, and it wasn't as good as Futurama, but I don't want to watch another Futurama. What is it with people wanting the same thing over and over.

I like it, but the SJW talk is just terrible with comedy. I actually didn't want to finish the episode with the Griffin thing when talking about cultural appropriation and preferred pronouns.
I actually couldn't tell if it was being a parody or actually sticking that shit in to remind us cis male scum.

The demon and King Zog are the only characters I like. Green Bart is ehh while Bean is a watered down Leela.

That shit with the griffin goes absolutely nowhere. Bean even just continues to offhandedly refer to it as "him". I get what you're saying though. That episode with the giantess had a similar moment where she goes on about how giants care about "body positivity." Politics aside, those phrases are just so fucking awkward. It reminds me of an episode of You're the Worst when a character complains about a "Colonial Bros and Nava-ho's" frat party, referring to the "cultural appropriation". Just say it was racist, that has better weight to it.

Now I know Groening and his buddies lean left, but they're also smart guys so they have to know how dumb that shit sounds. My personal thought is they know it's dumb, but it's a piss easy way to take advantage of the cultural zeitgeist for good press so they throw in some inoffensive shoutouts to it.

Why is every single character in this an asshole, even the "nice guy " cuck Elf?
Also, I haven't really laughed once, and I'm a few episodes in...

I got through two episodes and I think I laughed once. The pacing is really bad. It just drags terribly. Plus it's not funny.

I thought they're mocking all these themes. At least it feels like mockery.

She's like a bit of Leela & a bit of Fry. She's more intelligent than Fry but less so than Leela. In fact, she reminds me of the Leela in the alternate time line that had less impulse control, if she had two eyes and was born to a royal family in a fantasy setting.

Edit
Bean isn't as nice as Fry, but like Fry makes dumb decisions. The difference is she's drunk all the time and Fry is just a well meaning dope.

I don't really see Leela in the character. I see more generic bitchy female protagonist.

I haven’t seen the episode with the griffin yet, but if the episode with the female thief gang leader is anything to go off, it feels more like they’re mocking SJW nonsense rather than pandering. The whole tone I got there was “Can you believe these guys?” Like others have said, Groening’s a lefty, but he’s not stupid. He (rightfully) told the Apu documentary guy to fuck off and stuck to his guns on that, and people seem to forget The Simpsons recently did this:

King Zog is the best character on the show. They should dump Bean and just have Zog kill jesters and dunk on peasants for 30 minutes, I'd watch that.

This show is just... So devoid of any humor or joy and I hate almost every single character... Eric Andre is surprisingly the best thing about it (and I still can't stand the guy).

Best I can say about it is, I don't think this is an SJW show. The SJW "jokes," as others have said, seem to be poking fun at their ridiculous lexicon. (But the jokes still aren't funny, so meh)

Man I'm trying but it's episode 6 and it's just missing so much. It would really benefit from a cut-down to help jokes land, because they breathe too much. Sound design is really terrible, like Reddit points out, the environments are way too quiet. Creepy basements should be dripping, footsteps should echo, the forest should have magical bird sounds, etc. and they just don't.

They held back from making Bean a total asshole and as a result the comedy suffers. Every episode she's trying to be a better person. It's boring as shit. An entitled, selfish, Sweet Dee-esque trainwreck would be more fun to watch and provides a lot more comedy opportunity. Like, imagine if her drinking problem was so bad her personal demon had to stage an intervention. Imagine if her problem in the executioner episode was that she really wanted to chop heads and kept missing. Imagine if she actually wanted to bone down a hot prince, but he gets cold feet at the altar and leaves. IDK I think that shit is funnier + gives the character more room to actually grow + gives other characters more to react to. Elfo's crush on her is boring and doesn't hit enough funny idiot savant beats, Luci is the strongest of the three but doesn't have enough to actually do. I don't know if the writers don't understand what's funny about fantasy tropes, or if it's fatigue from writing for TV forever, or if they lose their shit when they're given a longer runtime, it's just "off".

They kinda play with that in one of the episodes where it's implied she keeps trying to sneak guys into her room for a drunk screw but they all wig out because Zog has a vendetta against people boning his daughter.
