My timeline might be off, but I'm going to put the start of the spiral around the 2020 US Presidential election. From what I remember, that's when Dev cut ties with Scrump because Scrump said some gamer words on stream and got Dev banned/demonetized for a bit, so I would pin that as when Dev stopped actually trying to interact with or understand the "right" beyond his interactions with Sargon or Arch. Couple that with J6 a few months later and Dev's trajectory towards "le ebil Republikkans" was cemented, accuracy be damned.

To be fair, there were signs prior to 2020 of his personal opinions.

The best example was his "Balkanization of Technology" video in 2017. Where he went over the Google Manifesto and what he thought.

One of the takeaways I had was that his biggest issue with the exile of the Right from the public tech space at the time was that it would result in the Right creating its own spaces as a result. Which would lead to the Right pursuing its own agenda without interacting with the wider public.

Other videos around this time had similar themes. He would talk about a left-wing tactic. Why it was bad. And warn that if it wasn't stopped, the Right would utilize it. Because the Right wasn't suicidal and eventually will fight back as dirty as the Left did.

From the very beginning, he had left leanings, but was savvy enough to understand that the current arrangement was preferable for him and that the Socialist Left was riling up the Right.

Yep they still stream. They haven't really changed, but are still MUCH better and more grounded than Dev. Kinda why I still like and listen to them, despite the times they get VERY annoying.
Also, Sitch hooked up with one of their fans named SamiG and is now engaged to her. So even the centrist Jew is doing better than Dev.

Tbf, that kinda is because Dev has become bad-faith and absolutely ignorant on anything right-wing. Like them or hate them, there are MUCH fewer times where I see Adam or Sitch being bad-faith or ignorant of topics than I do with Dev.

It's because for all of their faults, and there are a few, Adam and Sitch don't seem to have a pathological need to be correct at all times and seem to like the people who show up to their streams. Unlike Dev that just call the other side names. I can recall more than a few times where Adam would sit there with a concept that he thought was wrong or didn't understand, and would try to work through and understand it live on stream. Which is at least an admirable quality if you ask me.
