It's believed that Cloudflare is Alphabet agency owned. It came out of no where and offered DDOS mitigation cheaper than all alternatives, which put them out of business and now they have a monopoly.

Hi @Null, curious if you'd be open to any sort of federated approaches, e.g. a master kiwi farms tightly locked and a container package some set of people could deploy to operate write-thru-read-caches to the master. network access to master can be strictly controlled, wireguard/tailscale/etc. i realize this gives up a lot of control, especially if a read cache decides to keep content up that you decided to take down, wrapping with ads, and other undesirable things, but you ultimately can disconnect them and primarily offer the official list of mirrors/door sites.
 
Unironically as cringe as it may be.... The path forward is political spergery and trying to make a concerted effort to brush shoulders and network with those who have connections. I'd say it's a long shot and retarded but in the past decade I've seen some crossovers and shit I never though imaginable.

Might be time to step fully into discomfort and thrust yourself further into the spotlight big dawg.
 
Interestingly, the clearnet site is working just fine for me right now, but I can't get in through Tor. Tor not connecting to kf went on for me most of last night. I thought null had pulled the plug already.

Perhaps the thing to do is try and figure out a list of people who could put political pressure on cloud flare. That's why I initially mentioned Musk, not so he could give Null money, but so he could use political pressure, or alternately think of a solution. If it were presented to him as a puzzle and a political issue, he might be willing to help in some way, especially if it's made clear it's not a solicitation for funding. At least he would understand the problem, unlike the majority of governmental agencies and politicians.

Or not. Maybe it's just dumb, idk.

As far as I'm aware (and someone else is free to correct me), the issue is that you can't stop an attack without expending resources. You can minimize the amount of resources, but you can never reduce it to zero, because you need to determine if an attack is actually happening in the first place. It's like as if you have a huge crowd of people in front of you, and a few want to ask you a question while everyone else wants to shout in your face. You have to let each one speak to you before you know if they're a questioner or a heckler, and each one you let speak takes the place of someone else in line. You can't just ask all the hecklers to leave, and you can't just ask all the questioners to form a line of their own, because the hecklers will just mingle with the questioners and shout at you anyway. Whatever way you choose to deal with the situation, it comes down to whether you have the time and energy to scrutinize each individual member of the crowd and determine which category they fall into. And if you ask other people to do it for you, you still need to be told the results of their own scrutiny, which still takes up your resources. DDoS attacks rely on these dynamics, and any discriminating system needs to put equal amounts of effort into filtering the hecklers from the questioners. If the ratio of hecklers to questioners is 10,000 to 1, you're probably going to be tired of getting shouted at long before you find even one legitimate questioner.

Would this unusually large ddos attack qualify as a form of left wing terrorism that Trump recently listed as a terrorist threat in the usa? Silencing critics could qualify
