Oh, I completely agree. I just don't understand why people like IcedCoffee say they're basically paying to extend the show. The show will happen regardless because the showrunner has only one "talent". Besides, as has been mentioned, he's far funnier when he's desperate for money.

It's so bizarre seeing what he chooses to tweet about when it comes to video games and I just realized why. It's because he doesn't care about them. This would be like your snooty effeminate history teacher all of a sudden taking fifteen minutes out of class every week to talk to you about football. Why? For what reason would that topic come up all of a sudden? It'd be strange and unsettling because you'd know this person doesn't know anything about the subject and so holding a conversation with them about it would feel like the two of you were communicating in two different languages after getting only a crash course in both.
Phil makes it incredibly clear every day that he doesn't like video games, doesn't care about the production or release of video games, doesn't follow video game creators, doesn't at all consistently follow video game news or culture, and has no great investment in playing video games outside of making $200 a day doing so. But he brings these topics out of the blue and apropos of absolutely nothing because conversations about them are being held in circles he's not a part of. I joke a lot about him being an alien or lizard person but it's really not far from the mark here. It's very reminiscent of actual autistic people who can't read social cues or follow conversations or subtext and just inject whatever thought comes into their head whether it's pertinent to the subject or not.

@actually Damn straight he is. Just imagine the salt if he spent even a single month without hitting the tips goal even once. The only thing I lament about following the pigroach is that those days appear to be over for good. Maybe they're not, but they sure do look gone.

When has Phil ever talked about "straight white male" characters like it's some sort of problem in video games up until now? This dude makes gay jokes with an effeminate voice immediately whenever there's a gay character, never takes female characters seriously or totally objectifies them, makes lazy ass rice and laundry jokes with stereotypical accent whenever there's an Asian character, and we all know about Phil's nail biting problem whenever one of those Negros shows up. It couldn't possibly be that Assassin's Creed games are boring and lack variety because the formula hasn't been changed and the games are all the same exact shit, it's because there aren't enough gay black tranny in wheelchair assassins in ancient Greece. DSP like any other SJW, is a snowflake that hates reality and any form of criticism. Runs away to his safe spaces and blocks all criticisms to feel "safe" and "protected". According to PigPigGo Phil has only ever uttered the phrase 'straight white male' 1 single time ever across all his cahntent, and it was 1 month ago when he was reading a bitch here that referenced Dr Disrespect as a straight white male.
Given the option in a contextless test environment Phil would literally never choose any character to play as besides 'straight white male' due to the delusional levels of projection which Phil self-inserts himself into the game character. His fragile ego is threatened by any viewpoint outside his own. This is why he hated TLOU2 so much. He was deeply offended that he thought he was going to be able to self-insert as Joel and that wasn't what he got. This is a guy who admitted to getting real-world romantic fulfillment out of doing 'dating sim' side-quests in video games.
