In old videos, he was constantly “bowed up” (if you understand the vernacular). His arms were out at his sides and his chest thrusted out. I always thought that was why he moved all funny, he held his body in a position that rednecks use when they’re getting ready to fight and want to intimidate.
I can’t find an example of “bowed up” since it’s a regional slang, but I think Fred and the SOK called it “squared up”.

I mean partly, but he was also just thick. It really looks to me like he's lost weight but he never gained any muscle. Thus the spindle arms; he was always flabby, not ball with twig arms before.

This. His awkward, feeble frame looks as if he hasn’t lifted a glass above his head let alone any kind of weights. There’s no way this nigga ever lifted weights or did any kind of strength training. A bit of :powerlevel:, but I went through a phase about a year or so ago where I was hitting the gym about 5x a week for like a six month period until my work schedule pretty much guaranteed I couldn’t do it anymore. Even after all that time and really only lifting bodies off of beds and floors, I still manage to retain a lot of the bulk in my chest and shoulders. I know people who were really into lifting who got huge but after a few years just fell out of habit. If Phil was really this powerlifting machine who was jacked when he was younger, he would STILL maintain even the smallest bit of a frame, but his narrow shoulders, sagging mantits, and engorged FUPA tell a different tale.
I'd buy that for a dollar

Probably because he doesn't trust to make good shopping decisions. For example Phil puts "bread" on the list. Kat might accidentally get the kind of bread that is on sale that week because she is stupid and doesn't know that the most expensive bread in inherently the best. She might buy eggs instead of the more expensive carton of egg yolks because she forgot DSP ain't got time to crack an egg. She might buy stick butter and we all know real gamers don't have time to melt butter.

He's respected for being a cool dood in an environment of shitheads, but he's certainly not a leader. It's easy to fall into the language trap of Phil's "Detractor" label. It's a name he created for an imaginary unified group that is "mobilized" by a leader from a command center.
Does anyone know if Phil came up with the monicker "Drunksydephil"? From what I can tell, it was first used April 26 2012 on Twitter. Some fans were batting it around half a dozen times before it was picked up by EvilAJ and @drgnkiller. Phil first used it in a video title and on Twitter two years later on November 27 2015 (the first use here wasn't until October 3 2017).
I remember sometime after the "Escort Saga" he referred to something he did as a "Saga", CWCwiki/Kiwi Farms vernacular. I'm wondering if perhaps he picked up "Drunksydephil" from "Detractors" without realizing it.
Phil's shoulders are bad for his body-type. A scrawny man with a sleight frame looks even worse.
(Not that the "first day of third grade" Gap Kids clothing is helping any.)

True, so true. Her MidWestern values coupled with having lived without a six figure income for the past 8 years might see her making grocery bill budgeting decisions if he wasn't there...like onions that don't cost $1 each. Even worse, she might buy a vegetable! I'm sure he almost went into shock when she bought the Granny Smith apples* ( they are green. Pale green, but green all the same! ) We all know D$P must have Hawaiian bread and fresh baked brioche rolls for his turkey burgers.
* For those not in the know, Khet made pork chops with cinnamon apples ( he says they were Granny Smith, but they may well have been canned spiced apple slices ) with corn and mashed potatoes. Any wonder why they have put on weight? You can't add a grain to a meal with a starch and not gain weight. I'm sure D$P thinks corn is a vegetable though and was so proud of how health his meal was.

Why does it take the both of them to get groceries anyway? I mean, maybe to save time I could see, but he's taking an entire stream off and how much shit could they be buying? It's not like Phil can help lift the grocery bags in and out of the car so he's fucking useless in that regard, I guess he's there to make sure Kat doesn't get anything healthy because it's too expensive dood.

As far as my fuzzy memory goes, I think Phil used it while pretending to be drunk hoping to recapture the days he drank while playing games. Pretty sure he tried to capitalise on the nickname detractors had coined up. Thinking about a fallout game he tested this with? Maybe @EddyB43 can clarify.

It’s almost like the old Looney Tunes cartoons where they would blow into their thumbs and suddenly they were all muscled up and swaying back and forth as they walked.
It’s meant to be a caricature; Phil did this in earnest to try and look like he was stronger than he really is.
Anything D$P says, ANYTHING he says I take as a lie. And him being JACKED is just another drop in the ocean.
