Last night's "Baby Steps" stream is worth a watch or at least entered into the evidence file of Phil behaviors.

Phil starts out with fake enthusiasm and gradually loses it as he realizes tips aren't coming which turns to rage.
He continues this after in his mini q and a segment including some ltg drama. Yes, it was unprovoked and he doesn't do drama you morons.

Phil has no understanding of friction or explains it as "coded spots". In a stupid way he's right, just not for the correct reason. He tries to climb up wet rocks at a severe incline and falls down the hill. Rather than understanding that this has to do with the games interpretation of friction he complains that the programmers designated it as a "coded spot" which makes you randomly slip and fall.
Rather than take a different path, adjust stride or angle, he stubbornly does the same thing repeatedly and grows increasingly annoyed.

There are several clown moments early on including scat humor, ball humor, whistling obnoxiously, and acking his ass off. Watch it if you have some drywall that needs to be knocked down. Further adding to the theory that he pretends not to know anything about a game yet makes the correct assumption, there is an option for nudity. He said he would disable it because of youtube reasons and said later that maybe the nudity included donkey dongs. Guess what? The nudity was donkey dongs.

Yeah it was pretty great to see how quickly his demeanor changed as soon as he realized the dough wasn't rolling in, and then he ragequit of course. Philip acting like a baby in a game called baby steps, what a surprise.

I only watched clips of it, but what is infuriating about all this is he's acting like this with EVERY games. He did the same spiel he did with Cyberpunk, being overly negative about every single aspect of the game despite being things here by design while ignoring fondamental parts of the gameplay.
(if a surface is wet, of course you're going ot slip...)

What's more insiduous about those complaints is how people outside the snortex reacts to it. You have people like Crowbcat giving them legitimacy and acting like those are genuine faults from the devs and game dev using Phil as an example of the "average gamer".

Call me crazy but I feel like he's been doing that since forever. Remember the closet clean out ? there was multiple game guides of games he played in the past in there. Including a fallout 4 guide (seriously who needs a guide for the most linear game of the franchise ?).

There's also multiple instances of him just mysteriously doing the exact steps to unlock special secret items in fromsoft games.

I feel like his tism forces him to look up everything in advance and prepare the jokes etc... It's just sad doing it for games as it makes them even less immersive and interesting for him (not that he wants to be immersed nor engaged)

I think Sekiro and Elden Ring had the most egregious cases of this. Phil gets his ass kicked for 45 minutes, then has to take a break and once he returns he had the epiphany of how to beat the boss, which is getting a mysteriously busted build and knows exactly how to attack now, eerily similar to the top video when you look up a cheese strat for that boss. Or Phil deciding to wander to a random part and suddenly finding the item he happened to be looking for.

Phil would be "happy" drinking, DoorDashing, and never leaving Renton (even if none of us would), so he actually is sort of "happy" even though he never takes a vacation, never does anything fun, never experiences the world. The thing from a few days ago where he said he can never take a vacation because his cat would be traumatized---he doesn't WANT to ever leave his house, so he's truly fine with it. He just doesn't understand how bizarre it sounds to be content as an angry shut-in who is terminally online.

This is the part that people have the hardest time grasping.

Phil's already living the best life a hermit beggar can have. To human beings it's sad and pathetic, but Phil actually is where he wants to be: begging from the comfort of his safe space.

Another thing to note is that Phil gets a dopamine hit when he gets money from anyone. It makes him feel like he's "outsmarted" whoever engages in a transaction where Phil makes money (all meaningful interactions are transactional in his mind). He is a low level scammer but he is indeed a scammer, as are 99% of beggars. He inherently thinks anyone who gives him anything deserves to lose whatever that is. And as to be fair he is indeed smarter than any dentractor who thinks he can troll Phil with money. It's like paying a whore to just talk to her cause you want to deny her the sex.

I grasp it. My dream life would be give me millions of dollars while I enjoy a simple life as a hermit in some secluded area.
