This seems to be a limitation imposed by the judge. I'm not on chuds side but I cant find limits on bond pay amounts for tenessee. I guess I could call one and ask about it but I'm not invested enough to do more than a few google searches. All I've found is that judges, at least in tenessee can limit how much a bond agency provider can pay at once. It is ultimately chuds fault for being a repeat criminal though and posting about wanting to kill niggers on his personal Twitter.

I really do not know what it takes to deny bail in TN, but I suspect that the ceiling is high enough that just imposing a functionally impossible amount to prevent a frequent flier from getting out and become a flight risk was considered easier than trying to fight the decision.

ETA: I looked up the rules, and Tennessee can only deny bail for capital offenses. Judges have been known to make posting bail difficult for high-risk defendants because they can't legally refuse to grant bail, and there is a referendum set for the midterm to broaden the right to deny bail due to anger at the multiple big cases of heinous crimes committed by criminals out on bail. Props to Chud for being the face of white trash committing crimes while out on bail, it'll make it easier to push it as a racially fair law instead of a plot to punish those poor widdle ghetto thugs.

Considering every witness said that it was an unprovoked murder and the judge has been known to throw the book at convicts in his court, I think Karmelo's getting life, with the most lenient parole conditions letting him out in his 50s, but he'd probably find a way to dig himself even deeper once he's actually in the slammer. I honestly hoped this would happen, precisely because it proves the point that you can't claim slurs to justify lethal force or try to engineer a scenario to kill somebody and claim “self-defense,” which means that the seam cuts the same for Chud's little song and dance.

I don't see how mandating that 10 separate bonding companies have to post the bond is constitutional at all. It's constructively meant to keep him in jail and violates the 8th Amendment by setting a bond that can't actually be met.

This is more about the bail bond companies having a history of biting off more than they can chew, the accused skipping, and the bondsman going "oops, bankruptcy." when Tennessee comes to collect.

The limit is usually $75k, not $100k, so the Judge has already modified the bail conditions in Eatherly's favor.

It was the final hearing for default. I assume he hadn't shown up for any hearing prior to that one and failed to persuade the judge that he'd be a good boy and actually show up if another appearance was scheduled.

I’m curious about the idea of there being a bond at all. The court doesn’t want him out, and he is a violent wigger so why not just deny it? The argument is against unreasonable bail/bond just remove access to it. I don’t think I’ve typically seen arguments against the constitutionality of bond/bail being denied.

The presumption is for bail to be granted. The Eighth Amendement of the Constitution also prohibits "excessive bail." Doing a spray and pray outside a courthouse probably would have been sufficient to defeat the presumption, though.

Interesting seeing the bond conditions when you compare this to the Karmelo Anthony case (different state, I know). Karmelo was released with an ankle monitor and a 250k bond, and was just found guilty of 1st degree murder this week. Interesting he can’t bond out despite it being attempted murder and several people willing to pay for his bond. I think Chud is a nigger but this one is a thunker.
