Why? It's not relevant to the TCA39-11-611(e)(2) argument, since "provocation" removing your option to claim unlawful force was justifiable self-defense does not distinguish between lethal vs non-lethal use of force.

You can make a distinct argument that Eatherly did not provoke Fox (or that Eatherly retreated before Fox attacked, satisfying TCA39-11-611(e)(2)(A)), thus the option to claim self-defense is available, but you only consider non-lethal use of force reasonable when a combat veteran with PTSD tries to king hit you.

There must be immediate direction to use or attempt to use unlawful force.

Maybe I’m a lousy racist that only uses phrases too specifically, but I have always heard the phrase “chimping out” used to mean flying into a murderous rage in a way reminiscent of a chimpanzee attack, or at least engaging in animalistic savagery such as looting and burning because you are angry about something.
