My birds are flying now. Now it's like, okay, I had a mild amount of fun checking on you all several times a day, now please fuck off so I can smoke on my porch again.

BTW it turns out that the humidity where I live just happens to be a natural humidor.I actually did try this with one of my stogies and it really does effect it. It changes that smooth rich taste to just being a swisher sweet dry feeling. I was thinking on this though, what if you don’t do the humidifier but you instead boil some water and put a net over the pot (maybe the lid to to keep the moisture condensed) to bring the cigar back to life? I might try that next time.
Just look into estate briar pipes on ebay and you'll get a cheap one eventually. And a proper brick and mortar tobacco shop will have plenty of pipe tobacco for sale both in tins and by the ounce. C&D has a lot of cheap blends. Is there an affordable tobacco pipe and tobacco you recommend for a newbies in the pipe game?
I dunno, any random-ass tobacco out of a drug store. Virginia blend is a typical entry level tobacco since it's sweet (high sugar content in the leaf). Pipe tobacco is basically free in the same way black coffee is. It's insanely cheap to the point I wouldn't even think of it as costing money to smoke a bowl (whereas cigarettes are like 50 cents each). Is there an affordable tobacco pipe and tobacco you recommend for a newbies in the pipe game?
You cannot eat cigars. At least I'd hope you wouldn't.Got the idea by noticing the Whiskey thread.
I'm not sure if a thread about cigars goes in the Food subforum, but since it's a consumable I think it would fit well here.
Cigars International sells very cheap bulk cigars. It's the only reason I smoke. My exposure to cigars was having a friend in college bring me back one from Cuba, then doing the giggly pimply young boy-man thing of buying cigars every now and then and feeling like a rascal until I got bored of it. Then in grad school I got a promotional deal in the mail that was meant for someone else. I smoked one a semester, sometimes skipping, until one semester I just started smoking them regularly.Which websites do you order from if you can't find specific cigars locally? I don't want to go with the first one that comes up in search, rather somewhere one of you feel is reputable and has a good value.
yeah but most smokers move up pack sizes over time....and compared to cigarettes I'd be saving, like, $4 to $5 (most smokers smoke a half pack a day).
