I'm glad you asked, because here's a mega content update!

Cecily is apparently a member of a group on Facebook for daughters of narcissistic mothers. If that doesn't win the fucking irony award of the year, I don't know what does.

What's so narcissistic about her mom? Oh, for one thing, she's in a bit of denial about having one of the worst possible forms of dementia, and might be trying to dodge out of doctor appointments where she'll learn more about her prognosis. SO narcissistic, guys, right?

She complains about the treatment she gets in the hospital, which of course someone like Cecily would never do, stiff upper lip and all.

Cecily's no narcissist! Why, she makes sure her mom sees all the doctors Cecily wants her to see, and when Cecily stops pushing her to go to the doctor, mom won't go to the hospital exactly when Cecily wants her to, and STILL thinks her daughter should advocate for her as a patient even if she didn't follow every dictate her daughter made about her treatment!

Cecily, you haven't done one damn thing right as a mom.

Have fun with your barely literate/functional daughter (all thanks to you and the Philly Free School) taking care of you, handling the medical decisions when you and charlie start to fall apart...which by the looks of things will be sooner than later.

By the looks of who shared Cecily's drivel (Jessie Cocks) hopefully that person is NOT allowed around Tori and other children:optimistic:
 
Most people who raise their children to be wholly uneducated and feral at least have the decency to get them diagnosed with something so they can get that gubermint check and have some kind of a chance at semi-independence when they're dumped out in a world they're completely unprepared to deal with and survive in. Cecily can't even be fucked to do that for her little savage.
 
Cecily is in her fifties and is still blaming her mom for not teaching her about money 35+ years ago, lol.

First of all, what money? Cecily chose to marry someone who actively aspired to be a broke loser, and Cecily herself never pursued a real career or sought any stability or a steady income.

Also, this sort of whining about never being taught something is so rich in shit-covered irony considering Tori's anti-education and feral upbringing; Cecily hasn't fostered a single damn practical life skill in that kid and has robbed Tori of any and all real academic learning and future opportunities. I doubt Tori knows anything beyond Kindergarten-level sight words and arithmetic.

And of course there's absolutely no sympathy or pity from Cecily toward her mother's deteriorating condition, just bitching and moaning that she's an only child and taking care of someone else really cramps her style. Once the old lady dies, Cecily will probably find a way to write a few treacly essays for some eldercare website, portraying herself as the dutiful, loving daughter who just didn't know anything about dementia until it was too late.

I never think this woman can possibly come across as a bigger piece of shit than before, but she always manages somehow.
 
The irony is incredible in those posts. They are exactly what her daughter would write as an adult, if she’d ever learned to write, that is.

Lewy Body Dementia is an awful condition and death. (Robin Williams killed himself because of that diagnosis.). Whether you like your mother or not, whether you were raised well or not, having a parent go through that should at least cause some serious sadness and sympathy. The words “glee” or “joy” and “Lewy Body” should never be used together, as she did.

There are a lot of awful cows on this board but Cecily is right up there with them. Everything she ascribes to her mother, she is herself.

50 years old and can’t budget? Read a fucking book, there are a million out there. There are free apps. It takes a genius to add up expenses, add up income, and divide it? If you have more expenses, cut some out, it doesn’t take a math degree. That’s how most people learned. Her parents would be of the age that money is for adults to worry about, not kids, and so they didn’t discuss it. But she bitches about something her mom didn’t teach her while making sure her daughter is even more ignorant than she is.

She just whines and complains, and makes that her life’s work. Probably the only good thing she ever did is choose french fries over her twins. Can you imagine the life they’d have lived being male with her as a mother?

. Her poor elderly mother doesn’t deserve her health woes splattered all over the Internet so her daughter can get meaningless oppression points. Cecily is a fat, ugly, narcissistic douche.

You're combining two stories. Cecily's mother had a mild stroke and they made her live in the basement in the house they eventually lost in their bankruptcy, before they moved to the ghetto. The elderly, frail woman had to climb stairs just to use the bathroom and they never provided her with furniture - she had a bed but all her clothes and possessions were in trashbags and boxes. One day her mother needed help of some kind - she may have fallen and needed assistance getting up - and the only person at home to help was Tori. Cecily was incensed that her mother relied on her daughter for help of any kind and described Tori as shattered by the experience. That provoked the whole Tori should be "fucking safe" in her own home episode that saw her mother ushered out as quickly as Cecily could manage. (Bear in mind, Tori had to make her own meals from about age five, was subject to control and potential abuse by much older kids at that Free School, survived the polar vortex that leveled the country with a broken window pane in the kitchen and a broken hot water heater, and had to walk to school through rough neighborhoods, but helping her elderly grandmother made her unsafe).

Charlie's mother was in a nursing home and Charlie had some sort of access to her money. He and Cecily drained her accounts and bought all sorts of shit, including lots of fertility treatments and a trailer (a fucking single wide) as a vacation home in the Poconos. When the old woman needed Medicaid to cover her long-term facility care, an audit was done showing that Cecily and Charlie had spent money earmarked for her care and they were forced to pay it back. Rumor is that this is what directly led to their bankruptcy because they should have had enough money to pay for their old house plus debt when Charlie sold his old Philly apartment for a nice profit because Cecily wanted to raise her spawn in the 'burbs. The old woman died not long ago and evidently Charlie and Cecily gained money through some sort of trust that could not be used for long-term care and used it to move out of the ghetto. But they indeed stole from Charlie's mother and got busted and never had a kind word to say about her throughout what remained of the old woman's life.

Also, hilariously, Cecily has remarked that the reason she underwent fertility treatments was because Charlie's mom wanted a grandchild, as if she wasn't desperate to spawn a mini-me.
 
Cecily linked her feral childs IG and it's hilarious and pathetic all at the same time. She types more poorly than my preteen cousin, and she seems to think an excessive use of stickers on her dead eyed selfies somehow equals ~*~*~aesthetic~*~*~*. This post in particular cracked me up. Of course she's been trained to be ACAB by Cecily. Because you're not really an obese, danger haired, uneducated drain on society unless you hate the people keeping you safe from the segment of the population who would destroy a fat helpless blob like Tori and her mother.

Ugh, this makes my heart hurt. Tori seems like such a sweet kid, she deserves proper guidance in her life. (Although it's nice to see that at least it looks like she finally has a decent bed and bedroom.)
 
I wonder if the fat mongoloid is aware of this threads existence? That, or she went and nuked the comments section of the last post because there's nothing there. This shit is so pathetic. I always low key have hope for cow-kids, that they'll break the cycle and not end up like their parents. But it's pretty clear Tori is doomed for welfare, morbid obesity, and begging on the internet, just like her dear mommy.

I feel so sorry for that kid. Most people with issues had parents who tried and failed, Cecily not only didn't try, she went out of her way to fuck up her own child. That girl is going to have a hellish adolescence, and probably won't even realize why.

Her teenage years will probably be fine. Cecily has her in that freakshow school, where learning matters less than applying filters to selfies and drawing DeviantArt tier anime girls, which seems to make her happy. The real nightmare is going to happen when she 'graduates' and finds that college isn't an option, and that the only jobs she's qualified for are going to expect her to show up on time, clean, and apply the right amount of salt to the fries. If she's lucky, Cecily will just let her become a NEET in her bedroom, and she'll have till Cecily has the big heart attack to figure out something.

It's really heartbreaking how many cows ruined their kids lives before they even started. Kathleen doomed Colin by teaching him that anything that required effort was bad and that he was entitled to an easy life. The only reason her daughter avoided that was because she was the family scapegoat, and managed to escape. Kailyn doesn't seem to care that her daughter is 6, can't talk, and is possibly still in diapers. Musty Ray's daughter is like 16, obese, and in state hospitals because the abuse drove her to self mutilation. The only cow-kids that seem to be doing okayish are Sammie Busharts... and that's because someone else is raising them. Tori was fucked the second she survived Cecilys crime scene of a womb.

Part of me hopes Tori will get a room in a crappy apartment with a few roommates who have semi-normal lives (jobs, expect her to pay rent on time, that sort of thing), and re-think the way she was raised.

The kind of adult that sends a kid to a school like Tori's school is often fearful about adulthood itself, and convinces the kid that it's a big scary world out there that almost no one can succeed in at all.

The reason some kids see their whole outlook change is that even having a few normal roommates in an ugly apartment in a bad neighborhood will mean you can usually see that your roommate who's making a real effort gets ahead more than that one that keeps quitting jobs or not showing up on time. You end up seeing that while it's not always easy being an adult, it's also not nearly as hard as codependency-seeking parents make it seem.

Which is actually really freeing, when you think about it. Adulthood being easier than you thought it would be is a weird feeling and it can be hard to shake the idea that you're somehow cheating the system when you attain even marginal success, once your parents have convinced you that only people with money and connections can make a living wage (or similar aspiration-destroying myths).

But Tori's behind the 8 ball on all of this, because her queer milieu is now all about anti-self-improvement. Stay as fat as you are, don't get up until noon if you don't feel like it - that's just a sleep phase disorder, cancelling plans with your friends is self-care. And these kids are conditioned that only roommates or close friends who have already drunk the kool-aid are "safe," so they create a network of codependency that becomes more and more difficult to break free from. It's a cult that has worked by making people certain everyone outside the cult wants to kill them, and everyone in it reinforces that idea.

Breaking free from a neglectful parent is one thing. Breaking free from the queer hydra is another.

This is a great post, but this bit reminds me of memoirs by people from weird religious communities who left and joined mainstream society. They're often prepared for the normal world to be terrible and full of murderrapists because that's what they've always been told, only to be pleasantly surprised when the average person is better adjusted and life is easier on the outside than their old context.
