Git is used to back up, manage and contribute to projects, but it's the code and the resources used in the project that you archive/upload/distribute. The binary would be the finished, compiled program, which you don't shove on git for team members to modify and work on because people have trouble reading and comprehending billions of 0s and 1s.
Basically, Wu is again trying to sound tech-savy while proudly declaring "I have no idea what I'm doing" to anyone who has even the slightest familiarity with the technology.
