Quick primer on PV. PV is a cancer of elevated red blood cells and platlets. There's 2 categories: Primary and Secondary. Primary is the typical mutations leading to cancer, while secondary means there's an underlying cause. Somebody already pointed this out, but sleep apnea, especially when taking testosterone, is one of those causes. So unless he specifies it's a Primary PV case, he probably got it from being too fat. I know it's been theorized that he's had a stroke in the past, but he's at high risk for a stroke because of this. It's also treatable with aspirin, weight loss, phlebotomy, and some select chemo agents. So to actually treat this, he needs to lose a good amount of weight. If he actually complies with treatment (fat chance), he might actually live another 20-30 years, but if he doesn't its about 1.5 to 13 years left to live.

I'd need to see something more solid before I absolutely believe it; I'm leaning towards true but obviously he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt because of his non-stop shameless lies about pretty much everything. I'm sure he's hoping this will disarm his 'trolls' for a bit, but nobody ever really had a problem making fun of his imminent death from fat, so I really don't think it'll do much for him long term. He'll waddle into action and start to burn whatever goodwill this brings like, tomorrow.

DSP is soon to outlive yet another one.
When you think about it, DSP's one day going to be feeling like Doctor Manhattan, knowing he'll outlive everyone around him. Though frankly, it's always been a surprise that Boogie hasn't died already - I'm a little eager for the tell-alls once he's gone and croaked. It'd be a hell of a story if he actually managed to turn his life around, lose weight, fight the cancer, yadda yadda, but I'm not really that into fiction.
