Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

Did they change Wyll’s VA or did they tell him to be less...British?
They changed his VA and rewrote the character; Larian actually talked directly about it in one of their update posts but I can't remember which. Wyll consistently ranked the lowest in official polls and surveys during the EA period.

He looks so genuinely distraught for a moment there. lol it's wonderful.
Is it weird I connect to Astarions bullshit? Like all my friends does this shit to me, even that clown thing.
Thought I do turn around and start thinking it's pretty fucking funny later on.

Anyways like I said earlier this guy did not change at all during EA, so again, imagine this bullshit and he's the more sensible of the bunch. That's how edgy all the VA's were. Iirc Shadowheart kept saying she might need to murder you at some point.

I kinda miss the over racism tho.

I actually have seen mods to use all the companions at once. But yeah, while I don’t think it would be boring personally, I can see how long and complicated it could make it with more pieces on the board, so to speak.

Also would make battles way too easy.
I'm using that one so I can drag everyone around because fuck arbitrary limitations.

Positives: More character interactions and dialogue, can be handy for some fights, less concern about weight limitations in regards to hauling loot.
Negatives: Anything involving jumping over gaps, tendency to stand in/walk through fire/acid/etc, can bog down combat and contract Three Stooges Syndrome in narrow corridors/doorways, especially at the start of combat. At least the frontliners can jump pass the mass of bodies, though.

I tried making the same kind of mod for pathfinder games while having everyone have an animal companion and dragon form - holy shiiiiit. It's like passing kidney stones if kidney stones were the size of mt rushmore.

I think my second playthrough is gonna be a Dark Urge Oathbreaker Palidin, but go as good as possible. Get the evil looking powers, but use them for good. Seems like it’s be a fun contradiction.

Which BG races tend to be considered the “evil” ones? I’m guessing Drow Elves, Deep Gnomes, red Dragonborns…any others?

I'm curious about what would happen if you killed all your companions, stuff them into your chest at camp, and, right before the end of the game, you resurrect everyone. How would they all react?

Minus Gale, of course.

I get why they did it but it still blows that you can't go to camp or swap out your party members in the Mind Flayer Colony. (I got Jaheira to join me, but when I checked if I could swap her out before jumping down the hole, they didn't give me the option. I guess she gets locked in for this section if you let her join?) Was pretty worn down by the time I got to the Apostle of Myrkul fight and didn't notice you could rest in that one pod before triggering it, so everyone ran out of their ability slots and I ended up having to reload. I really liked the cutscene preceding the fight though.

Watch out for the aura of the Oathbreaker Paladin cause it effects all fiends and undead including your enemies. Drow and Chromatic Dragonborn are evil. Deep Gnomes arent evil. The other evil races are Githyanki, Orc, Duergar and Tiefling.

Unholy Assassin armor slaps.

Any of the chromatic dragonborns should be considered evil since they are all related in some way to Tiamat.

You actually could leave the mind flayer colony through a glitch before Patch #3, but I sent in a report about the bug and they patched it in Patch #3.

Something funny I discovered recently. In this run, I'm doing a Karlach origin where I killed all my companions and stuffed their bodies in a box. I sorted the box by Value and according to the game, the most valuable companion is Astarion, followed by Lae'zel, Shadowheart and then Wyll.

What could the developers have meant by this?

UPDATE:

Not sure why this happened, but I tried pulling Wyll's body out of the box and it just completely vanished. Poof! Bummer because I wanted to sacrifice him to BOOAL in the Underdark. Unfortunately, I had to use Lae'zel instead. I'm saving Astarion for that crazy Drow woman in Moonrise.

Durgar Dwarves are generally evil too, and they have one of the most powerful abilities by default: A free use of invisibility every combat. (and unlimited outside combat).
Deep Gnomes are basically the underdark's token unevil punching bag.

Why in the fuck is Bard so good at stealing shit?
Bards have Jack of All Trades and, usually, a high Dex score. That ensures some reliable pickpockets.

If you get the Gloves of Thievery from the Zhentarim trader underground, that'll give you an extra die to roll on Sleight of Hand checks which will make things even easier.

That all being said, Rogues will inevitably be the better class for Sleight of Hand checks lategame.

By the time Rogue reaches level 10, you get Reliable Talent which the ensures Rogues can't roll anything lower than a 10 for some skill checks. This pretty much breaks Pickpocketing, lockpickimg, and trap disarmament.

Speaking of Rogues, I don't understand the natural Intelligence proficiency from a practical standpoint. It helps in Saves, but not in skill checks for Int rolls which means Arcane Trickster doesn't even benefit from it.

I fucked up and pulled the flask out of the chest so the chink bitch went instant aggro on me and I had to kill the Zhent lol. So no gloves for me on my Bard. Didn't matter because I wanted their explosive barrels. Hrmm... I wasn't even aware of that for Rogues at 10 though. I guess I'll just have to have my Bard do all the thieving until then. Have him doing it on my Warlock Durge and he has incredible luck in that file. Actually have the gloves on her too since I remembered NOT to open the chest until I slaughtered the Zhent. I really love explosive barrels possibly so they always have to die.
