No doubt her role in the film was downgraded as much as humanly possible because the higher ups recognize that people don't like her.
I have no idea about this. Apparently her movie had a good success at box-office, and I suppose that money is the only important thing to the producers. Anyway, Endgame main goal was honoring the original six assemblers (Thor's treatment notwithstanding), especially because a few of them won't come back, so it would have been stupid to give much space to a relatively new character.

Introducing

Timelines and universes was SUPER fucking smart, because if you want to recast heroes, you can just always grab them from another universe or timeline or some shit with a different actor.

But now guys, remember now. No franchise ever ends.

So remember.

You're all here forever.

There was some pandering going on especially with the female crew and fortnite. I admit Brie Larson's dyke hairstyle suits her. I'm surprised there was no Stan Lee tribute. I didn't watch Captain Marvel. All in all, I enjoyed it.

No one's ever really gone...

Just got back from it

Captain Bitchface was easily the worst part of that movie. Also, Rogers lifting Thor's hammer was kino as fuck.
Thor Lebowski was also pretty great.
How could she be the worst part of the movie when she's not even in the movie?

I liked it as much as IW, maybe more because it didn't have the cliffhanger ending.

I only rolled my eyes when they put the whole female cast together for their "girl power!" moment near the last fight scenes.

Scrolling back I'm noticing someone said it's better than Joss Whedon movies, but hand to god I literally thought he amount of fucking quipping and one-liners all over the place was almost exactly on par with Whedon scripts. It was nearly as bad in this as they were in Captain Marvel. Unlike IW where the nearly 2 and a half hours all clipped by at an amazing pace and never felt like it let up, there were entire chunks of this were I was bored shitless. That climax makes up for it several times over, but goddamn.

I want to use a weird analogy and see if anyone gets it; any of you like System of a Down? Their last releases Mezmerize and Hypnotize? The general fan consensus is that Mezmerize was a single, cohesive experience that was all "pretty good", whereas Hypnotize had higher highs, but much lower lows. That's what Infinity War and Endgame are. One consistently really good with maybe one or two moments of true greatness, and another that has a lot of high places, and then a lot of "What the shit is this?".

I enjoyed it, and I'm going with a different group of friends to see it again over the weekend and it might hit me differently, but that wasn't exactly the movie I expected it to be going in.

I might have missed it but

whatever happened to Gamora? I know Star Lord going out for her, but did she die with Thanos and the Dark Order?[/SPOILER}

She still died, but one in an earlier timeline came back to the present time. A Gamora that had yet to meet Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians.[/SPOILER}

I wonder if Hulk Banner will concoct a youth potion and bring back the original Cap one day.
?

Chris Evans wanted out of his contract so I doubt it. Maybe a couple of years down the road when he's desperate for money but if he's smart, he'll be set for life. Disney tried to make him sign a 9 film contract until he settled for 6.

Maybe he's secretly defected to Warner Bros. to join the DCEU.

I hear he's up for playing Darkseid. ?

the girl power scene was kinda gay, mostly because i think it devalued a lot of girl characters who are infinitely better than carol, but whatever. i'm glad she just sorta stayed in the sidelines and did her overpower shit to help out.

ant man was the buttmonkey of the group but i really loved him, i got to be honest.

how long until people bitch about thor's role being fatshaming or something? i already saw bitching on tumblr about alcoholism being made into a joke.

Don't forget people with "depression."
