Hey man, its their logic not mine. Though the Spainards-aren't-white thing is a known stereotype last I recall even outside of the whole Eugenics bullshit.

Europe ends at the Pyrenees
edit: It is an error of geography to have assigned Spain to Europe; it belongs to Africa: blood, manners, language, the way of life and making war, in Spain everything is African. The two nations have been mixed up for too long–the Carthaginians who came from Africa to Spain, the Vandals who left Spain for Africa, the Moors who stayed in Spain for 700 years–for such a long cohabitation not to have confused the race and customs of the two countries. If the Spaniard were Mohammedan, he would be completely African; it is religion that has kept it in Europe.
I was joking when I posted that but you're right. Evolution happens much faster than people think it does and there are fairly large genetic distinctions between different groups of Europeans. When people say "the Sicilians are Arab rape babies," that is sort of true but within 700 years evolution has made Sicilians genetically distinct from both Arabs and mainland Italians.I'd consider the Spaniards to be White. I do not extend that luxury to insular Celtic peoples, especially not the Ulster Scots.
Scottish Highlanders, Welsh, and Catholic Irish are slightly better than the Scots-Irish border reivers but they're still pretty much the niggers of Europe.
Remember that Africa ends at the Sahara (Egypt and the Berber countries are pretty much Middle Eastern) but then it starts all over again at Hadrian's Wall and the Irish Sea.
Thomas Sowell and Bill The Butcher were absolutely correct in their assessments of the Irish and the Scots.
As my screen name suggests, I am Italian, I was born here but my family came here a long time ago from Italy. I am Lil y White and so was everyone in my family. I never heard this question before until recently but I've worked in healthcare for a long time and I used to do home care where I would go to people's houses. I worked in New York City in Harlem and Washington Heights, my patients were all overwhelmingly Dominican and African American. Quite a few times people would ask me what my background was and when I told them Italian they would say I knew you weren't White! When I asked them why they would usually say something about how they felt comfortable with me and I am really genuine and sincere. It had nothing to do with my appearance because I look like a white person. I found that really weird. Is was as if they weren't comfortable liking a white person or something and when I told them I was Italian they were relieved because they didn't consider Italians white. They seemed to assume that white people are not nice and they probably never met a white person that they became close to or something. I was never offended or upset but can you imagine if the roles were reversed there?
Mainland Italians yes. Sicilians are iffy
Italians are Italians.
The saying I was referencing is an italian one not Anglo-nordic, and it sounds like you would probably qualify as a quadroon in the USA.Fixed that for you.
The whole "Africa ends at the Alps" is antiquated Anglo-Nordic bullshit from the Victorian and Edwardian eras that's mainly believed by either Scots-Irish hillbilly rednecks or inner-city black joggers
Honestly, I think Africa ends at the Sahara but starts all over again at Hadrian's Wall and South Armagh and then it starts all over again at the Appalachian Mountains
For clarity's sake, I mean that jogger culture (and redneck culture too) is just Elizabethan and Jacobean era Scots-Irish border reiver culture that survived into the 21st Century.
That culture died out in Ireland and Scotland but survived in Appalachia and the Upland South and black freemen brought it to the cities during the Great Migration and it more or less adapted a bit to the unique circumstances of the 20th Century.
I've got both Scots-Irish and Italian ancestry in addition to Catholic Irish and I'm White as hell

Almost all italians are descended from Roman slaves, so yes you would most certainly be considered an octaroon. No I would not, and you do realize my Italian ancestors were Northern Italian, right? Specifically they were from a rural village near Verona and came over before the big waves of Italian and Sicilian immigration in the 1880's-1910's. They entered the country shortly after the Civil War.
Verona is in Northern Italy
Also, the whole "quadroon/octaroon/etc." in America only applied to people with black blood and more specifically the ones who were descended from slaves for the most part
Almost all italians are descended from Roman slaves, so yes you would most certainly be considered an octaroon.
Octaroon: someone who is 1/8th black by descent. You keep using that word, but I don't think you know what it means.
The majority of Roman slaves were from Europe and the majority of non-White Roman slaves were from the Middle East, not sub-Saharan Africa.
The terms quadroon and octaroon in the United States are meant to specifically refer to people with partial ancestry from the black chattel slaves in the Americas, something that happened centuries after Rome fell.
You're just being a retarded autistic dipshit at this point.
Octaroon: someone who is 1/8th black by descent.
Yes and the social stigma due to someone being descended from a slave could be felt even if it was that person's great grandparent.
Wrong, Americans have frequently used octaroon to refer to someone who was 7/8ths one race and 1/8th another.
e.g. 7/8ths white 1/8th italian
