I've always been a chocolate milk head. Something I find interesting is of the two most common chocolate milks sold at gas stations here, Nesquick and Shamrock, the Shamrock tastes better even though the Nesquick doesn't use high fructose corn syrup.

Have you tried lactose-free milk?

Chocolate milk made with cocoa powder is cheaper and tastes better than using stuff like Nesquik.
Yeah, I handle that fine although the sugar is still gonna fuck me up. Autismal fact: 'lactose-free' is a misnomer - it is ordinary milk with the addition of lactase (the enzyme intolerant people don't make enough of). I guess conscise branding trumps technical accuracy.

Allergic weakling pro-tips:
  1. You can turn any milk into lactose-free milk by adding lactase powder or tablets like Lactaid/Lacteez.
  2. You need to take the lactase separately for hot drinks because lactose-free milk won't be effective (lactase denatures above 60 degrees).
  3. Depending on your own personal degree of intolerance, you can mix regular- and lactose-free milk to end up with a greater volume of milk you can consume without negative effects. I can get away with 50/50 and be fine, although I expect that'll wane as the years go on.
Unrelated, they sell 'Lime Milk' down here which is milk with lime flavouring and is bright green. It's really popular. I avoided it for ages because that sounds absolutely fucking foul, but it's surprisingly alright and not the satanic vomit-fuel you might think.

I am insatiable when it comes to lime juice/flavoring but lime milk does indeed sound foul despite me loving both portions. I might have to try it if I ever see it. Does it taste like lime pie at all? That's like the one lime thing I'm not big on, it's fine but I've never thought "Man I sure would love thicc ass slice of key lime pie right now"

I fucking love lime pie but no, the lime milk has none of the sourness you'd normally associate with lime flavours. The end result is something kinda mild that slots in alongside the standard flavours (strawberry, chocolate, banana). It's an oddity I can't directly compare to other flavours though, not even other lime-flavoured stuff.

I fucking love making chocolate milk with syrup. Sometimes I mix it with strong coffee and add a little cream to it to help me get up and go in the morning.

I’ve occasionally picked up chocolate milk but I can’t remember the last time I’ve done it, All I can recall is that it definitely wasn’t within a year’s time.

One thing I’ve always wanted to do with good chocolate milk is substitute the usual whole milk used in espresso-based drinks with whole chocolate milk. I’m not sure if it’d work but I think it’s worth a try.
I like Chocy milk, but strawberry milk is fucking based.
Unrelated, but I had a YooHoo recently and it tastes like fucking shit. Dunno if they changed the recipe or if Covid ruined my tastebuds.
Yoohoo tastes like someone took half a stale Hershey’s miniature, dropped it in water, let it dissolve, then threw it away and shat into a yoohoo bottle.
The thing about YooHoo is that it’s only a dairy drink due to whey being in its list of ingredients, there’s no milk actually present in the drink.

>Green milk
Oh god, I think you just gave me Star Wars flashbacks.

If I have to feel sick about then this so do you.
Speaking of Star Wars, TruMoo released half-gallon jugs of blue-colored vanilla milk a couple of months ago.

From what I’ve heard it tastes like melted vanilla ice cream and not in a good way. With that in mind this unfortunately makes the versions of blue green milk found at Galaxy’s Edge better despite it a frozen mixture of coconut and rice milk with fruity (for blue milk) or citrusy (for green milk) flavors.

I like taking this:

and putting it in any kind of coffee drink with whole milk. adjust choccy/milk ratio as desired.

I went over to my local grocer and I decided to check the chocolate milk section and I was honestly kind of shocked that almost all of them, even whole milk versions and the store-brand organic version, had carrageenan in it.

Thankfully there was one brand that didn’t have it so I picked that one up instead, the only downside is that it’s reduced-fat milk.
you can make that cheaper and better
:smug:

(drop(s) of blue food coloring + glass of milk = blue milk)
Yeah, but’s both color and flavor that sells it, just putting food coloring into just doesn’t cut it.

Funnily enough some coffee houses do this for their hot coffee drinks and some cold blended drinks, I know Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf does and they sell the powders too.
