Lolcow historians of the future could probably study RedLetterMedia on how to successfully deal with drama and trolling. Multiple times some real stinky shit has been flung their way and they've been able to quickly, dismissively acknowledge it but avoid getting mired in the shit. I think it comes down to a laser focus on creating a quality product above all other distractions and a genuine hatred of the internet.

Their radio silence on Jessie leaving was well done on their end, their zero tolerance policy towards any potential drama works really well for everyone involved.
The infamous Jessie's feet pics subreddit just proves these people are terrorists and cannot be reasoned with.

As a side note, I feel like Jay might be an ever-thinning hair triggr. Since he's very obviously gay even without Fuckface Landis outing him on the show. I remember in some older vids right when he started to look better, Mike would refer to him as "Susan" in the merch/patreon videos. My brain tells me he's toyed with the idea of trooning out over the years, or maybe just settled for being Mike's fucktoy.

Scott The Woz. He's (another) zoomer PG-rated AVGN clone, but he's got enough self-awareness to know what he is and what he's doing. His stuff gets cringy on purpose, it's clearly all done in good fun.

Scott has what many other AVGN clones lack, which is that "Scott the Woz" is not "Scott Wozniak", he keeps the character separate from himself. AVGN clones like Caddicarus are fucking painful to watch because Caddicarus is (at least a facet of) James Caddick (he's also painfully unfunny).

In his latest video he revealed that the show is basically a deliberate satire of internet angry reviewer tropes and even got some of them on the show as a metajoke.

In all his videos, the audio mixing is bad on purpose, same with the nonsensical drawn out skits, unnecessary musical numbers (with bad audio mixing as well), the screaming, the "nemesis game", the "nemesis" character. It's all done on purpose to mock angry reviewer tropes.

Scott doesn't involve his internet persona in his real life, he doesn't politically soapbox or shove politics into his videos like other internet game/movie reviewers, he's entirely separated from the character.

I know this is not how it was described, but that's the most reasonable attributes when I hear the word "anti-cow." That, or someone who is sort of like a pest exterminator but deals with lolcows

Many trannies that are talked about here are also technically "respected" by a ton of people. That being other trannies. Janus Korwin Mikke is based, but he's also a crazy ass nutcase. He truly is a lolcow.

RedLetterMedia could have very easily become lolcows if they responded to their audience differently. Those gilchrist leaks about embarrassing shit jay has done could have been the birth of some sort of hilarious cope spiral, but they managed it all well. Occasionally they'll call the comments section trash and that's the end of it.

I read those, the gist is that in 2003 Jay was a dick to the actors in the films he directed. Also, he wanted to date some girl but was too pussy to ask her out, so Mike swooped in and started fucking her. This drama's clearly been resolved long ago, as Jay and Mike have been working together for almost 2 decades now. Total non issue.

RedLetterMedia almost seems out of the YouTube sphere in a good way. They never follow trends, they don't comment on drama, they don't have guests from other channels on, they follow their own formats instead of trying to copy what's popular. I respect them for that.

His reviews really determine whether or not I'll watch a movie, since my taste in movies align pretty close with his. Everyone on RLM definitely has cow like tendencies but they have the sense to keep their business and personal lives separate.

Late, but I wanted to add that this dude is a full supporter of the cancel culture. He's started Twitter witch hunts to get rid of streamers guilty of the horrible crime of misgendering. That's something that makes me really resent a person, especially if your whole shtick is "internet nice guy".
