DRAKE IS A FUCKING LEAF.
I want to violently murder these politically-brainrotten fiends who pry on superficial politics like coomers on pornhub.

Just how much guilt does he feel over liking Sam Hyde? No one even fucking reads Fader, bro. You don't need to overcompensate this hard.

Idk what Celine ever did to you
She sticked around after releasing "My Heart Will Go On" rather than calling it an end on a high note.

Imagine a black person that constantly talked shit about black people and begged white people for validation. It would be creepy and off putting.
IDK, people seem to really like Uncle Ruckus.

There are so many bands people praise now that were relentlessly mocked back in the day by everyone in their scene and now they're considered to be legendary status simply because they're still around. Just look at Limp Bizkit.
Limp Bizkit were praised during their prime, what are you talking about?
Frat parties everywhere played their music. They were all over the radio. They were the number 1 band in the world for most of 1999-2000.
Nu-Metal fans liked them then and still do now.
The only people who actively hated them were metal purists who hate any band who isn't idolizing Iron Maiden and Pink Floyd, and they hated nu-metal altogether (and metalcore soon after).
They never lost popularity in South America or Russia after all these years either. It's why Fred has a home there.

I'd say your example better fits Justin Bieber than LB, but even Bieber had legions of fans and moved ticket sales.
Creed is another more suitable example. Outside of radio play, no one actually liked their breed of sanitized post-grunge beyond a song or two. But now they somehow were an unappreciated gem in the eyes of zoomies, particularly trad-larpers.

Última edición:
Yes. Canada keeps attacking the US with their musical terrorism.
Celine, Drake, Bieber, Avril Lavigne, The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes.... Nickelback.
But they did also give us Devin Townsend, so I guess it balances things out.
I wasn't aware Weeknd was Canadian but it makes sense.
And Nickelback... I think it's time people admit it was more fun hating Nickelback than they actually hated Nickelback
"Someday" is a GREAT song and Chad Kroeger's voice fucking kills it

Not to mention Rush, Triumph, The Band, a ton of NWOTHM bands. Canada has either high highs or low lows when it comes to music

I hated Nickelback before it was cool :geek: ; when everyone loved them and Creed in the dawn of the millennium and you couldn't escape their songs at K-Mart or movie soundtracks.
I just didn't like how these post-grunge bands were suddenly the 'it' thing and taking the spotlight from my-then-opinion more deserving bands.
But around 2009-ish I finally decided to actually listen to their work.
The State (their sophmore effort) is an album that actually tried. Long story short it's got musical theory and Chad actually tells stories with his songs and you can tell he was enthused about his performance being good.
But it went nowhere saleswise and the now-famous story is the decided to sell out hard for their third album, which they did. Everyone has heard "This is how you Remind Me" and liked it at one point even if as nothing more than a product of it's time or as background noise.

So now Chad Kroeger decides to sing about literally nothing and somehow it works- just listen to "Hero" released a year after TIHYRM. If it released in 2024 onwards I'd swear it was made by AI.
Yet I find it so catchy. It's about as deep as a soccer field and downright incoherent rambling at times, but it just works™.

Yeah, Nickelback is essentially harmless radio pop and doesn't deserve the vitriol it gets; they never claimed to be savants of musical complexity nor that their works are philosophical giants of our time, so hating on them too hard says more about you than them.

I won't admit admit what's not true, and Nickelback is still atrocious. She Keeps Me Up at least got a laugh out of me, but that's just because they call the black performer a "funky monkey".
Chad Kroeger's voice fucking kills it
Chad Kroeger's voice kills kittens.

That what I always thought.
The people that loved to hate them always seemed like they were trying to hard. I'm remembering back in 2005 when it was kids wearing skinny jeans brushing their hair in front of their eyes listening to emo shit somehow calling Nickelback faggots lol

I don’t think Fagtano gets Boards of Canada. One of the worst reviews by him in a long time. Spoken word tracks have been a mainstay in all BOC albums.

Came here to say this. Their very first album one of the most celebrated electronic albums ever made music as the right to children is filled with sampled spoken word tracks. One track is entirely spoken word talking about censorship. To complain about this is to complain about what made Boards of Canada Boards of Canada. It's an utterly bizarre criticism.

I listened to the Board in Canada or whatever it's called and it's a bunch of electronic computer sounds. That ain't music. Led Zeppelin. Now that's music. Guitar solos, loud drums. Rest in peace John Bonham!! Real instruments and real talent, not none of that Windows XP MacIntosh crap! This Boarded Canada crap is nothing but garbage.

bait, but bro didnt listen to dayvan cowboy

Rush is Canada's gift to the world, well that and klaatu.

Btw, has anyone ever heard fantano play music?

Is his taste in music actually real or is he as pretentious as possible as bait? It's like a woke Patrick Bateman going on a tangent while I'm drunk at the sofa and he is getting his axe

My younger brother takes this fucker's opinions seriously.

I have failed as an older brother...
Don't be too hard on yourself. Fantano has spawned a whole generation of retards who follow his every when it comes to music opinions. You can actually see the aggregate score of an album change as a function of his review, on sites like album of the year and rym. It's a hivemind basically. Seeking out and being passionate about music is cool. Making it your whole identity is not.
