Is it still considered unpopular to say he was better then Ghibli. Also had the sense to die before the rot set in.I wish Satoshi Kon did not develop pancreatic cancer. I have seen all the anime he directed and I think he had insights into the human condition that most people in the industry lack.
I enjoyed both equally, if I'm being honest.Dragon Ball > DBZ
DBZ introduced my two favorite characters, Android 18 and Vegeta.I enjoyed both equally, if I'm being honest.
Oh, definitely, but Dragon Ball started the serious tone a lot earlier than people remember. Probably around when King Piccolo was introduced.I feel like the character development and overall story was better in DB.
Of course the spic likes Dragonball. I think they revoke your race card if you don't.You know who likes Dragon Ball? The argentinian player Tagliafico that was playing in the WC

I don't understand why. Blacks I get because they project themselves onto Goku when Frieza calls him monkey, but Spics?Of course the spic likes Dragonball. I think they revoke your race card if you don't.
dbz's appeal is universal to menI don't understand why. Blacks I get because they project themselves onto Goku when Frieza calls him monkey, but Spics?
I honestly think that every male in the world (minus the obnoxious faggots) are united in their love of shonen shows from the 90's.You know who likes Dragon Ball? The argentinian player Tagliafico that was playing in the WC

"I usually call them monkeys, but you tell me they go by "niggas" as well? A fitting term."I don't understand why. Blacks I get because they project themselves onto Goku when Frieza calls him monkey, but Spics?
Right place, right time. I was around when DBZ rode the anime boom into the west. Coming home from school and watching DBZ wasn't a case of "Let's watch this cool thing from Japan". It was "Let's watch this awesome cartoon where people rage scream/punch each other/get bisected." At least in my circles growing up, it was a kickass cartoon before it was an anime.Kinda odd/sad how, so far, no anime nor manga got the same universal love as DBZ, be it those made before or after.
Same thing as Pokemon and Sailor Moon, it was a cool cartoon before it was a cool Japanese cartoon.Right place, right time. I was around when DBZ rode the anime boom into the west. When Anime exploded during my childhood in Germanistan the moment DBZ was airing the entire neighborhood turned into a ghost town. All the kids playing around, screaming and whatever else kids do it all suddenly stopped, and they all vanished in the blink of an eye. Never witnessed anything similar like that, even Pokémon didn't have that effect.Kinda odd/sad how, so far, no anime nor manga got the same universal love as DBZ, be it those made before or after.
This was pretty much it yeah, every anime that blew up in popularity that aired on toonami and adult swim blew up because kids had never seen anything like it before. That's why most anime you associate with the 90s blew up, hell most of the anime aired in the early 2000s blew up because they rode the coattails of those 90s animeRight place, right time. You mean Miyazaki? Fuck you mean "rot"? Wind Rises and Boy And The Heron are fantastic films, Wind Rises is possibly my favorite film by him, behind maybe Castle Of Cagliostro. This feels like contrarianism for contrarianism's sakeIs it still considered unpopular to say he was better then Ghibli. Also had the sense to die before the rot set in.
Miyazaki rarely does anything besides "war/humans bad, environment good". While Satoshi's work had a lot more bite than just be pretty pictures with a plot for kid. I meant rot as most anime directors eventually shit the bed, not sure if Miyazaki as well, his latest works are more divisive. You mean Miyazaki? Fuck you mean "rot"?
